Hacienda del Sol Dec. 07-Jan. 08 We lucked out and secured one of Renate and Eberhard's casitas for our cold-weather escape. At first, the weather was chilly, but only the weather. The hostess Renate is great, very helpful and friendly. Eberhard has an attitude that if you don't do it his way or go where he says, you're doing it all wrong. One evening he snapped my bra strap! NEVER AGAIN!! We ask the guests to put the cardboard case where the beer comes in outside the house. These boxes are full of Cucaracha eggs and small Cockroaches we really don't want inside. We gave them a briefing of places to see, shopping, good restaurants to eat and especially not to eat, told them about fantastic trips and had...

We arrived as strangers and left as friends. Eberhard & Renate are not only wonderful hosts, but they have a special knack for bringing people together. Hacienda Del Sol's elaborate website leaves one with the distinct impression that it is situated adjacent to La Paz and and within 100 yards of a lovely beach. NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!! We enjoyed his visit and as usually if we have nice guests, we go out of our way to really spoil them. Yes, it really was a pity not to ask about the price. We reserved for him a Cabana at an Italian setup and made a reservation deposit of $ 100 Dollar. Even so...
