Stayed at hotel lorimar at the end of July. Location is perfect, can walk to everything. Given the location, besides the hostel around the corner, this is by far the best value for money. I've looked around and believe me! The front desk staff are great, speak english fluently and are all super friendly. Housekeeping everyday is also very thorough.... More

Location is good; being near the beach and bus station. The hotel is only a short walking distance to some of the landmarks of La Paz. The price is reasonable but the hotel is old and in desperate need of upgrades. My initial impression was that the place is simply in need of a good cleaning, but later I realized... More

The Lorimar is a block from the La Paz Malecón along the Sea of Cortés. The staff is friendly and trustworthy. The rooms are basic but clean and quiet, great value at $30. A furnished apartment is also available by the week or longer. It has a lovely private balcony with a view of sunset. Best to negotiate the rent.

La Paz is a real Mexican city in Baja. As you go south into the Cape area it gets more unreal. When you get to Cabo San Lucas you've arrived in Fantasy Land, where you're dreams can come true. La Paz has a lot to offer the traveler who wants to explore a Mexican city with a distinct Baja character.... More

We had run errands in La Paz so we decided to spend the Night at Lorimar- the place is clean, quiet and safe- the location is excellent (walking distance to the beach)- and it's only 30 usd- just to let you know- no tv, just the basics: towels, beds - nothing extra!

I always stay at the Lorimar when I'm in La Paz. For $30 USD, you get a clean room, warm to hot shower and a friendly staff. There are no frills here and it's not a resort. It's a clean Mexican hotel that is inexpensive and conveniently located to the Malecon and the town center. I stayed there during "La... More

You might mistake it's run down appearance for a flop house, but it is respectable. Parking on the street. Old towels and wrapped mini bars of soap are given upon checkin almost as a contractual confirmation of getting the room. Spartan quarters, but perfect for someone that won't be spending much time in the room. There are two prices, old... More

I have travelled through out Mex extensively for the past 25 years. If your looking for impersonable staff and swim to bars...this is not for you. If your looking for a friendly Mexican family orientated experience coupled with older Mex charm and the best budget hotel for the buck in all of Mex as far as I'm concerned....this is it.... More

We stayed at the Lorimar for 6 nights. This hotel is very close to the malecon, rooms are clean and nice (if you stay in a new one!). The patio is nice, although when we were there, we were the only guests, so we didn't really meet many people! The staff was very helpful and always gave us good advice... More
