There are not many Options in La Paz if you are looking for a budget stay and good quality. Before we found this little gem, we stayed for almost the same price around the corner and I wish I could turn back the time. Baja Paradise is excellent! Everything is working like it should be in every other Ho(s)tel. Fast... More

The Mexican husband and Japanese wife owners of this hotel are very pleasant people who have combined their artistic styles to create a zen folk art ambiance. The interior garden has a fishpond surrounded by desert landscaping. The hand carved chairs and paintings on the walls are done by the husband who has a talent for folk art design. I... More

Pension Baja Paradise, nicely-located one block above the Malecon (on Madero between Allende and Juarez) is a family-run hotel unique among the many budget hotels in La Paz. Owners Takako and her artisticaly-talented husband have designed the place with a variety of natural materials and creative touches; From the beautifully-landscaped garden to the great restaurant to the nicely-finished rooms, it... We were recommended to stay here from a friend. It's 2 blocks from the Malacon and within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops. It is also very close to the main bus stop on the Malacon serviced by Aguile. We really enjoyed our stay there. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were spacious and clean and... More

Budget lodging can go horribly wrong, amazingly well, or it can just be budget lodging. Baja Paradise is just plain old budget lodging. Of 5 budget hotels we stayed at on a baja roadtrip, Baja Paradise came in at #3. Here are the stats: Location: Less than ideal. A bit of a distance from the happenings of La Paz both... More

We stayed here for three nights total, with five people including two teenagers. I was a little leery about it, because I hadn't found many reviews but it worked out well for us. This is a very budget lodging. We paid 550 pesos for a triple room and my friends paid 440 pesos for a double room, including a refrigerator,... More

This is a small place with 6 or 8 rooms. There is a sweet little garden with a fish pond. The rooms are on two levels with open air common sitting areas. The layout has an inviting feel. This is the only place I visited in Baja that has a washer and dryer for guest use. There is an outdoor... More

I stayed here for 5 nights this week. This is a really nice and quiet B&B. I got a single room for 290 pesos/night. I challenge you to find a cheaper and comparable place in La Paz. I could not. The rooms are very basic but they have split airconditioners (Quiet) and hot water. The place is interesting and has... More

This is a cute, low-key, family-friendly hostel located two blocks from La Paz's malecón (boardwalk). It's clean and the owners (Japanese/Mexican) are super accommodating. Not fancy (think 'hippie diving hostel') but it was spotlessly clean and the restaurant out front looked like it making tasty comida. Location is a lot better than than most of the highly rated placed on... More
