The location is good, near the Eastern end of the Malecon, not too far from the bus station, and several of the rooms have good views (which is why I went there), though they are also the ones with the most traffic noise. The room was very dirty and poorly maintained, and the staff was unhelpful. After checking in and seeing the room, I thought it had not been cleaned after the last tenant, and requested that it be cleaned while I was out. On my return I found it the same -- this (see pictures) is what they consider clean. The room floor was sticky, and the bathroom filthy. The air conditioner barely functioned, but at least made enough noise to help cover the traffic noise. There is a Chinese restaurant downstairs, but after seeing my bathroom, I did not want to imagine the condition of the kitchen, and did not eat there. more
