We stayed at La Perla for 3 nights. The hotel is very smart and well maintained, however, I did have to ask them to turn the hot water on! The staff are friendly and professional. The hotel also has it's own swimming pool and an external balcony area where you can enjoy beautiful views of La Paz bay and the... more

Great location, but inevitably noisy, particularly since part of the hotel is actually a Norteno style nightclub. I was angry that the swimming pool was constantly occupied by children and families of the staff - often about 20 of them at a time. The staff themselves were friendly and helpful, but I woke up after the first evening covered in... more

We drove into La Paz on the afternoon of 12/30 and were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful waterfront. We didn't have a hotel reservation, but when we spotted the Hotel Perla smack in the middle of the malecon, we decided to run in and see if they had a room for myself, my husband and my teenage daughter. They did,... more

We arrived at Hotel Perla around 2:30 PM. They said our room would be ready in 30 minutes. Went and ate at the resturant that is part of Hotel Perla and was gone about an hour. Went back to the hotel and our room was still not ready. We went for a walk around the Melecon for an hour and... more

The Hotel Perla has central location on the Malecon. It's close to the heart of town, and about three blocks to the tourist bus station. The intent access for non-wi-fi folks is nice. The continental breakfast is also a plus. We found the food at the restaurant to be of excellent quality for an affordable price. We paid $86 per... more

To start my dad's watch was stolen from our vehicle by the valet and the hotel is not responsible. The bed's you sleep on are harder than the floor... no joke They drained the pool for 3 days so no swimming. The restaurant made bad watered down margarita's and the food was uneatable. Oh did I mention you can't charge... more

The best feature of the hotel is it's location right on the Malecon in close proximity to a bunch of restaurants, and tourist shops. It is a fine place to stay overnight, but not a destination hotel. I paid $86 (including tax) for 2 double beds with street view, for my wife and 2 kids. We stayed on Dec 29th.... more

Nice place, quiet and clean. The staff is nice and kind. The pool is small but good enough. It has only few rooms in front of the sea. However, the hotel is right in front of the Malecon and the sea. The restaurant is good. The parking area is small. Good for families and people that looks a quiet place.... more

we chose the Hotel Perla because of its history. By baja standards, it was reasonble. The rooms were clean and not too modern. The pool was clean and cold. Staff seemed indifferent. We paid $95 USD. The restaurant downstairs was poor. the room was quite quiet and beds mediocre. I think Steinbeck slept on ours. more

Jorge and his staff here are great. The restaurant on site was consistently good, and the location supurb. Small but nice pool and a great upper sundeck. We will return here. more
