This hotel is very nice, the staff were very friendly. We ate at the restaurant a few times. The food and service was wonderful. They accommodated our large group well. There is a nice water front view while you eat, They made good breakfast and suppers. The place looks cheerful with colourful chairs. The accommodated me with my celiac disease.

They will give you a locals rate if you show id or a utility bill. It's quite a good discount. Don't expect an upscale hotel. They give you two small soaps, a shampoo, shower cap(really?), two thin plastic cups, and two bath towels. But it's clean and it is on a good location. For walking. Note: DON'T eat in the... More

The people were very good to our large group. In my first room everything worked except the safe. Bed was good, 209 I think, a corner room at the back. 113 had a worse bed and I had to use my extension cord to plug in my audio book reader to listen as I recharged, as no plug near the... More

Located downtown on the Malecon, an old established hotel that was probably very nice in the 40/50's. The room and facility was clean and the staff friendly, but rooms are comparable to the old Motel 6's I used to visit when traveling with my family as a boy. Rooms are somewhat small, with two double beds that actually sit on... More

Don't listen to the critics who expect 5 stars for $74. You get what you pay for. Solid, friendly service with broken English. Clean rooms with acceptable beds. Secure entrance. Free wifi. That's a good value in La Paz for a moderately priced hotel. I will use it again if coming through.

We arrived to hotel Perla after we lived he'll through the hurricane Odile. They had available rooms. And they wanted us to pay cash as they had no electricity (also because of the hurricane) as well as most ATM in La Paz. It was late. We proposed to give our passports and double the amount in swiss currency as a... More

The worst hotel ever!!! First, our room was not ready on time, we went to eat and returned but the room was still not ready. They gave us another room. It wasn't so bad but the key didn't work. The people on the reception is the worst, except for Rodolfo. Nobody help you, they don't believe you, they have bad... More

It's not a four stars. The rooms are not too clean, mine was full of long hair everywhere; there is just one towel per person; the card-key don't work and it's always hard to get in the room. The breakfast is the poorest we have seen in the all Mexico and the two miserable slices of bread were burned. The... More

We enjoy staying at this hotel, our room was in the 3rd floor, although this hotel is old, they keep it very clean. location is perfect, just across the road from the Malecon and walking to all restaurants and bars. Our room rate also included continental breakfast.

We stayed at Hotel Perla for one night...thank goodness!! The bathroom had this filthy odor that never went away, the hotel safe did not work, and the A/C started leaking water on to one of the beds in the middle of the night. We were a family of 4 and there were only two towels in the room. When I... More
