The hotel although located to downtown Ensenada, and it appears from the pictures that its a nice place. Its a hole in the wall. After arriving, there was a terrible smell in the lobby. We check in, and the rooms were dirty, and you could even see spots on the bed cover. The room also had a strong filthy smell.... more

As a frequent Baja traveler (this time with my family in tow) decided it was time to look into a hotel other than the usual haunts. We were at the Costa Del Sol three nights during the Christmas holidays. The room, while very clean (for Mexico) was quite bland. Following a work assignment in San Diego, made a spontaneous weekend trip to Ensenada. After bouncing off a couple of hotels without vacancies, got a room at the 50+/- unit 4-story Costa Baja Inn (aka the Costa Baja Hotel), located at Boulevard Lazaro Cardenas #1536 in Ensenada.
