In general, good location , but don't expect too much in this one bcs some fundamental issues , like internet speed or access cannot match your expectation, AC not working well as well. I also lost two T-shirts. For business, you had better be prepared your way to survive.

Nice hotel with good service, spacious rooms, ours on the top floor had a bar in addition to the usual bed etc. and a partial view of the port. Friendly and helpful staff. No elevator and no cont. b/fast. However in the same building is TIA Restaurant which serves a nice b/fast (you order from a menu, no buffet). Secured... More

This hotel is right where the action is and as close as you can get to the restaurants and shopping. The hotel has friendly and helpful personnel. The problem lies with the rooms. They are old Spanish style rooms which we like but the air condition made the worst noise and was hard to sleep. Please replace your bath towels.... More

Average Hotel, was expecting something more but it didn't trig me that wow experience. Rooms are ok, cleaning could be improved and bed are fine. I just stay overnight, maybe a longer stay could have trigged in different evaluation.

This was a very last minute planned trip and we always get a good room here. Yes the hotel is dated, yes there is not much flare to it. However you can not beet the customer service, private parking, and the recently remodeled guest hall ways. Go to Ensenda for the fun, stay at the El Cid for convenience.

Stayed at the El Cid for four days last week and it was a good hotel. Staff were very helpful even when we locked ourselves on our deck. The pool area is very nice but they are doing a bunch of renovations so there were a lot of workers sawing and stuff. One day the pool was completely closed. Still... More

THE GOOD. A lot of good things for the hotel. The reasonable price, it's clean, the location in the middle of the action with plenty of restaurants around, the nice employees. THE BAD: No elevator, aging hotel. THE UGLY. Nothing.

We drove down from San Diego to stay a night and enjoy the Guadalupe Valley wineries. The room is small and dated, but it's quaint. Our room was on the top floor and faced the pool, which made for a quiet stay. I'd stay there again in the future.

Stayed here in 2005, when we drove down the coast (a must do) and found it as a brand new building, just opening. Great views and balcony's were part of the rooms. The location is central to the downtown shopping and restaurants. The rooms were clean and the staff really good (especially to US clients). We reccomend

We just came back from staying at best western the staff were very friendly it's just what you expect. the only issues were the front desk clerk made a mistake and charged our credit card for one night when I booked for 2 he later checked my reservation and said that he only charged me for one night I think...
