Went to Ensenada for Valentine's Day, didn't know it was the weekend of the carnival. San Nicolas was the only hotel with rooms available, booked one, got there early on Saturday 2/14. The people at the front desk were VERY nice, and hospitable. Checkin time usually at three, we got to our room at 1pm, which was great. The room... More

We normally stay at Estero Beach but wanted something close to town. We checked the reviews on San Nicolas and decided to stay there. The staff was friendly but the rooms need a lot of remodeling, the bed was hard, we woke up with back pain. The hotel smells like cigarettes .. Due to casino. Do not get room 212... More

On our recent Baja trip, this hotel was the only one we booked in advance, we are glad we did. Location is a bit out of the way, but it is only one block from one of the best steakhouse I have been to, there are pharmacies, and boutiques nearby also. The pool, bar, and dining areas are attractive and... More

Located at the quiet end of first street therefore was a 10 minute walk from the main tourist area . There are few street lights around therefore I would advise to bring a flash light if walking at night. We arrived at the check-in time however were told that it would be another hour wait for an available room which... More

Stayed for 2 nights with group of 50 during a car rally thru Baja...The staff was very friendly with most speaking English. The pool area was very nice but the rooms, hallways, bathroom, etc are in need to be updated...The same goes for the casino..The food was good and the prices are very reasonable. Good location with secure parking lot.

The lobby is very nice, but the casino is awful and our room was horrible. Besides the spartan amenities inside the room, the bedcover had pee stains on it, there was only two electrical outlets accessible in the room, one of them powering the TV set had exposed wires, a fire hazard. One of the locks on the dooor had... More

They've started renovating the hotel (it needs it) but at the expense of the guests: we heard drilling and hammering from 8:30am to 6pm. And they don't tell you there's a noisy renovation going on when you make the reservation. The pool and jacuzzis are huge but the water is not super clean. The jacuzzi water is not very hot... More

It's a really cool place to stay. they recently upgraded the swimming pools, plenty of parking. We always go down for the Bicycling race that starts in Rosarito. I will definitely be booking a room for the next trip we take!

We stayed at the hotel for three nights. We have been to Baja and Ensenada many times but never at this hotel. I like the location of the hotel as it is close to the Municipal beach and not too far from the bars and action. There was a really fun festival at the Rivera Civic center a block down... More

First off the wifi sucked and you could only get it in the lobby and pool area. We stayed here a whole week and were honestly very disappointed. The staff was very rude and uunhelpful. Also the food was WAY overpriced for the quality. It sucked and no wonder that restaurant was always empty. The only food part of the trip... More
