Colombia is getting all the attention lately, with its soccer team, the new Miss Universe and now its beautiful beaches. This is the perfect place to be away from the city noise and crowds. The rooms are clean and almost all have some kind of ocean view, ask for upper level rooms, also recommended VIP Ocean front rooms about $30-$40... More

We were staying at Decameron Cartagena and we paid for a day pass in Baru! It was beautiful! The hotel is wonderful... It has perfect and clean pools, thousands of beds for sunbathing! The beach is private so it's clean and safe. Our day pass included lunch, that was super nice, and unlimited drinks, we strongly recommend the "piña colada",... More

Is a great place to rest, to sleep on the beach, to enjoy the great view all time, the staff is not too friendly but the place is awesome, the all inclusive give you poor quality food but the place is awesome, you have to know that you'll stay almost the whole time inside the resort, because cartagena is 1:30... I have just come back from Baru Island, staying at the Royal Decamerón. It has been a great experience and a surprise to find such an excellent hotel in the middle of Paradise. The food is very good, not only the restaurants where you have you make a reservation to dinner, like any other all inclusive hotel, but the buffets.... More

My boyfriend and I decided to leave Cartagena for 3 nights to enjoy the beach. We picked this place because it is an all inclusive and on the beach, we took a bus from Royal Decameron in Cartagena which was a safe and easy ride. When we arrived at the resort they made everyone who came off the bus sit... More

This is a beautiful place to relax. The staff are so polite and kind and cannot do enough to make your stay wonderful. They manage to keep smiling despire some guests treating them terribly. Some reviews have criticised the use of small plastic cups for drinks- we saw this as a plus as glass around the pool would be a... More

First, I don't agree with the poor rating I've seen from previous guests who bluntly pour out their feelings on cheap statements to trash the spirits of the good folks of the Cartagena (Baru) organization. During our stay the operation ran smooth; I would say, if it was for me to rate this hotel thru the 1-10 system, I would... More

So my girlfriend and I decided to do a two day retreat and selected this place to do so given the fact that we were already in Cartagena. I'll keep this very simple Pros: * Facilities are very pretty * Views from my bedroom were great * Pools are super nice Cons: * Service is not great (staff at the... More

It is a beautiful property, but the beach is too small to hold all the people staying there. It is incredible that they don`t have a coffee maker, nor mini-bar in the rooms with the prices they charge. Not even an iron. There is no ice available near the rooms. They charge you for the safety box and also for... More

I'm Colombian, I know diversity of hotels in various locations around the world. This really is on the average, has good facilities, great beach, ongoing activities, but the attention to complaints was very bad. Report a noise problem in my room would not let me sleep well, that for any hotel should be a major alarm for guests coming to... More
