My second visit to Felicity and Bill's charming home and B&B lived up to the high expectations created by the first. Just read the other reviews and you'll see what I mean. It's a magic place, especially for visitors from countries like mine that have no 17th century thatched houses. The gardens are serene and wonderfully designed; even their black... More

Recently a friend and I stayed at Westcourt Bottom B&B in Burbage, Wiltshire. The website doesn’t do justice to the aesthetics of this place. Bill Mather is a working artist, accomplished in an array of mediums; he and Felicity have used that eye for color and design to make an inviting home out of a 15th century thatched brick house.... The gardens, accomodations, and friendly welcome were highlights of my trip to England. Bill and Felicity designed and built the fantastic, many-roomed gardens, which made a dream-come-true experience for me! We were in a group with multiple accomodations, and were clearly the envy of the group for accomodations, food and gardens!! Would love to visit again.

Westcourt Bottom came highly recommended to us and excelled our high expectations. We not only enjoyed a relaxing short break in beautiful surroundings, with the warmest of welcomes and the delicious breakfasts but also had the great opportunity to have private tuition from Bill in his artist's studio. We spent 3 sessions over the weekend and were delighted with the... More

Everything about this bed and breakfast was a delight...... particularly as a lone traveller. The cottage is full of fascinating artwork and is cosy, immaculately clean and sympathetically furnished. Crisp white bedlinen and down filled duvet, terrific bathroom with a large bath. Quality food - fresh filter coffe and freshly made bread with breakfast. Ample and secure off road parking... More

Westcourt Bottom was ideal for my parents Christmas present. Bill's art course managed to cater for and keep interested all the family - teenagers to grandparents. An excellent learning experience using chalks and acrylics with passable results for those of us with no talent- I could tell it was an apple?. All this in fabulous surroundings and with great hosts.... More

So good in all respects, and that's why we keep returning..... and our friends can see why. We all dream of attending Bill's art course one day.

This was our second trip to stay at Westcourt Bottom, this time for a full week. Felicity and Bill were welcoming and friendly and helpful. The room was cozy, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was excellent and very filling - decent cafetiere coffee, fresh homemade bread/toast, local sourced bacon, sausage, mushrooms (the size of saucers) etc. The room was also kept... More

We have stayed here on many occasions and we are never disappointed. The friendliness of the owners and quality of stay we experience keeps us returning for more. The B&B house is oozing with character and beauty and there is an underlying serenity that we havn't quite experienced anywhere else. Both relaxing and comfortable, one thing more needs to be...
