Probably not a 3-star class Thai hotel either. (Unless the rating system is very very different from Western standards) Tonsai beach is well known for being a backpacker/climber area so keep that in mind before you book accommodations here. Most of the options are budget friendly but likely not so much hygiene friendly. We stayed one night July 2015 (low... More

This is NOT a resort. They do the cheapest and bare minimum things to be nicer than the competing lodging. The rooms are nicer than the competition, but they miss lead us on purpose to stay there. The "resort" only has power in the rooms from 6pm to 6 am. I woke up everyday at 6:30am when my room heated... More

My three friends and I had planned our travels and accommodation very carefully, as one of us was working as he traveled and needed internet access. We were therefore very annoyed when we arrived at this resort and discovered that there was no power between 6am and 6pm, which the Mountain View Resort does not advertise anywhere on the internet.... We stayed for 3 nights in a private bungalow with ensuite. The room was spacious with wet room style bathroom. The bathroom did have a bit of a toilet smell but that's nothing unusual to Thailand... The monkeys running around were pretty cool to see and the backdrop in the mountains is really pretty. Lots of local bars and restaurants,... More

“New” bungalow, #128, 1100 Bt. • Electricity only 6 pm - 6 am. Two sockets in highly uncomfortable places where you cannot place your appliance. Fan only. Only cold shower, but unusually strong. • Have mosquito nets on the window • The fan was squeaking • There was a crank in the wall • You can hear bass sounds from... More

This hotel would be lovely if some money was invested into renovating the rooms. Lots of broken bits, mold, etc. The room itself actually reminded me a bit of old vacation hotels in the US.. which gave it some nostalgic value. We stayed in a room with two twin beds. Room was very clean, nice views. Only electricity at night... More

We went out travelling for the entire day. Came back and packed to leave the next day. Arrived at our next destination and $2400 was stollen out of my toilet bag. That's right.... $2400!!!!!! Didn't notice until the next day when I went to do a money exchange and my money was almost gone. I'm a professional in the real... More

First of all: We stayed in the "old" bungalows - even though they are old we expected something else since it was by far the most expensive place we booked on our trip. You have to walk there on a path with poor lighting in the evening - flashlight recommended. It can also get really slippery after the rain. The... More

Stayed in an AC bungalow (No. 210) which had hot water as well. The bungalow was spacious, well-kept, clean and the bed was comfortable. Courteous and helpful staff. The room was only serviced upon request, but this was done promptly and thoroughly. Power for AC, hot water and charging electronic devices only available from 6pm to 7am. The WiFi was... More

We really loved our time there. Took a new fan room. Room was really clean and with no insects or other creatures inside. We were even given an extra fan pn a stand. Toilets very clean. Staff ok and very polite. Loved it there. The only negative thing us that electricity is from 6pm to 6am. 5 mins walk from... More
