we booked it through andaman skyy as the first stop on the excellent tour of the region they tailor-made to our requirements. The Cha Wan is a little hotel and benefits from a peaceful location, which is good if you are the sort of traveler who prioritises peace and a boutique hotel feel, but might not suit you if you... Stayed here in December 2013 and January 2014 (so I came back and that says alot) The hotel deserves its friendly reputation on trip advisor. Breakfast can be served in the room or on balcony but once I was charged for this (only 50 baht) and once I was not. The rooms are large and have a private balcony but... More

Cha Wan resort was exactly as we expected; comfortable, clean, safe, and a haven from the bright lights and tourism of Ao Nang. The staff were helpful and polite which was an added bonus, and overall we felt it was good value for money. The rooms were enormous, and the bathroom we had had a separate shower and bathtub. The... We had booked two nights here but due to a small error, they were over-booked, so we were transferred to another hotel down the road and had the option to stay there for two nights or come back here for the second. Considering the way the situation was handled and the charm of the place, we decided to spend the... More

Thanks to the reviews on tripadvisor. This is small boutique hotel is great! I've booked 2 rooms for me & kids, both rooms in the same bungalow (lower & upper level) so it's easier for me to monitor the kids. The rooms are huge, as well as the bathroom with balconies where we can request for in-room breakfast. Hearty breakfast... More

Thanks to tripadvisor, I'd requested rooms 6, 8, or 10. We were allocated room 6 and were very happy during our stay. We had previously stayed at the Anda Dhevi, and cha wan is nothing like that. Both were excellent, but in different ways. Cha Wan does have its faults - the wardrobes/ bathroom sometimes smelt musty; the breakfast eggs... More

Did not have reservations going in but hoping we could get a room and we did. This is another place that we pretty much went off of other reviews because they were so good, and again, we were not disappointed. This is not a large place which we liked. The room is spacious, a bit run down but it was... More

It's a nice thai style ten room resort with very nice garden and a pool. Unfortunately there is a lot of traffic on the uphill mainroad next to it. So it's never really quiet. During our stay, the water in the pool was not well looked after. It was always clean but it was acidic! It really burned in the... More

My adult daughter and I spent 6 nights in this paradise. The grounds are lovely and the room is, well, like having your own private villa. Certainly the largest bedroom accommodation we had while in Thailand with large bathroom, shower and tub. What really makes this place are the staff. They just couldn't do enough for us. Always happy and... More
