Our friends recommended the Chateau for its excellent food and so we decided to spend a night there on our recent French vacation and sample what it had to offer. From the moment we drove into the grounds we knew that this was going to be an enjoyable experience. The chateau itself is like something out of a fairy story.... More

Having booked back in January 2012, with a confirmation email, we were surprised when we arrived after travelling in very hot weather, tired and hungry, that they did not have our booking. Once this glip was resolved we did have a great time here with two very different evening meals and a good buffet breakfast. the Galette evening was however... More

I stayed here with my two adult children in a lovely large room wth a view over the tiny chapel in the garden. We found out about Chateau de Kerminaouet from the tourist information centre at Concameau and were able to get a last minute booking on an August longweekend in Brittany. Unfortunately we were unable to dine in but... More

We stayed at the Chateau in September 2010. It is about an easy 30 minute drive southeast of Quimper in Tregunc. It is located within its own 52 acre park and woodland area--which is quite beautiful and peaceful. The owner, Bob Dubois, told us that he and his wife Jacoline had spent five years restoring this historic chateau and its... More

We booked here as part of our drive tour around Brittany as a surprise for our 11 year old daughter. She felt like a Princess in the large double room and she especially loved exploring all the hidden hatches and doorways to the roof spaces, the circular staircase to the turret and the two docile labradors who relished the attention.... This was a great stop for an Australian family looking for a unique experience in north-west France, away from the tourist trail. This delightful chateau hidden from the main road takes a little time to locate, but the privacy and charm it provides, makes this minor inconvenience most worthwhile. The staff were warm, helpful and very friendly without being intrusive.... More

We have stayed twice in this small chateau in Tregunc, Brittany. Once in August 2008 and the last time in October 2009. The first time was in the Pigeonnier. It was perfect if you travel with two adults (romantic!) or with children. If the weather is good you can eat outside where you have a stunning view of the grounds... More

I traveled to Tregunc to attend a wedding a group of friends traveling from New York City wanted a chateau experience, as opposed to a beach-side motel. And somehow we found this hidden gem! (It was unknown to even the bride who had spent a few summers in the area.) It has very lovely grounds, spacious accommodation (in the Avalon... More
