We have visited this place twice now with a further visit planned for April 2015. We are bringing more people this time to enjoy the fab golf course kept in mint condition with a variation of woodland and water to test your skills. The 17th par 3 is a real test of skill to keep it on the green. Back... More

Have just returned from staying at Chateau Vaudichon having left 5 days ago. Surprised by previous review. We found the staff to be very helpful and courteous. We thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of the golf course. The rough was difficult at times to contend with, however the fairways were wider then our home course and there was less water then... More

You go here for golf and only golf. The course is very challenging with the fairways more like second cut and the second cut more like rough. The greens are lightening fast.End of golf description. The accommodation in the Annexe is fine but lacks ventilation unless you leave the door open and the television is only French as the satellite... More

This is a fantastic hotel surrounded by excellent golf course. Have been 4 times now and always enjoy it. Sometimes food the same each night but as everything else superb we still keep coming back. Breakfast was not as good this year as we've had before but adequate.

Group of 20 visited Mid-June for 5 days, coincided with the 1st night of the World Cup. 3rd visit to Saint Saens, back by popular demand. Our annual tour 7 rounds of golf, followed each evening with private dining and stupid amounts of alcohol. Staying up til 3am earliest and much later is not good for the golf, but great... More

I've just spent 2 nights at the above hotel. I highly recommend the golf course, it was beautiful with lots of challenging holes. I would suggest trying to coincide your round with good weather as the first 9 holes are on a floodplain and hence can get quite water logged. Unfortunately it was raining quite heavily on our 2nd day.... More

Just returned from our second visit to Saint Saens with another couple after 5 days. Golf was fantastic and buggies a good price at 30e, all brand new and electric. Course in good condition despite raining hard all one day. Accommodation in converted stable block first class, very roomy, comfortable and clean. Breakfast very extensive, boiled and scrambled eggs, sausages,... More

The place itself was amazing bed and breakfast was great value and food in the restaurant was fantastic. Only reason I haven't given excellent was they were unable to get a taxi for us to the town this could have been easily organised as town was only 3k away and one of party had to drive and was unable to... We arrived at the chateau at around 9.30pm in mid-June, the light was just going down and the drive from the main road to the castle was one I will not forget. An amazing and picturesque setting with the golf course in from of us and in the back ground this beautiful and modest size castle, more a Manoir. We... More

Just returned from 4 nights at St. Saens. Course superb, greens true and what wonderful surrounding with all those mature trees. Not sure about other comments, but 10th yearsr on the trot in June/July and the sun always shines. The 5th is one of the most interesting holes you can play anywhere. Great variety of food if you choose half... More
