I've just spent 2 nights at the above hotel. I highly recommend the golf course, it was beautiful with lots of challenging holes. I would suggest trying to coincide your round with good weather as the first 9 holes are on a floodplain and hence can get quite water logged. Unfortunately it was raining quite heavily on our 2nd day.... More

Just returned from our second visit to Saint Saens with another couple after 5 days. Golf was fantastic and buggies a good price at 30e, all brand new and electric. Course in good condition despite raining hard all one day. Accommodation in converted stable block first class, very roomy, comfortable and clean. Breakfast very extensive, boiled and scrambled eggs, sausages,... More

The place itself was amazing bed and breakfast was great value and food in the restaurant was fantastic. Only reason I haven't given excellent was they were unable to get a taxi for us to the town this could have been easily organised as town was only 3k away and one of party had to drive and was unable to... We arrived at the chateau at around 9.30pm in mid-June, the light was just going down and the drive from the main road to the castle was one I will not forget. An amazing and picturesque setting with the golf course in from of us and in the back ground this beautiful and modest size castle, more a Manoir. We... More

Just returned from 4 nights at St. Saens. Course superb, greens true and what wonderful surrounding with all those mature trees. Not sure about other comments, but 10th yearsr on the trot in June/July and the sun always shines. The 5th is one of the most interesting holes you can play anywhere. Great variety of food if you choose half... More

Just back from a 4 night stay. The room was in the annexe and would advise anyone in future to opt for the chateau to avoid the morning walk for breakfast. Staff friendly, English good ( luckily ) , food very good. The course is tough - the 5th hole presents as no shot from the tee box - all... More

Very nice location 20 miles south of Dieppe - rural and very attractive. Hotel has good accomodation, reasonable food though not great by French standards, and on our visit staff seemed to be very busy and only just coping. Golf course is nicely maintained but tough - first 5 are watery, then it becomes wooded and slopey. Greens difficult, rough... More

Carstairs golfing society has just returned from a two night three day golfing break at Saint Saens. Over the last 10 years we have visited Saint Saens on at least four occasions and it is undoubtedly the favourite venue for our group of 20 plus. We always book direct with the hotel where the reception team all speak fantastic English... More

Stayed with a group of 19 golfers. Hotel accommodation very nice, and friendly staff. Food was excellent. Golf course very challenging, especially the greens which are very fast and take some getting used to, some nicely laid out holes, only spoilt by an overly difficult 17th (well for me anyway!). Would recommend the hotel and golf course.

Saint-Saens / Vaudichon is a beautiful and rather tough golf course, about half-an-hour north of Rouen. The course is well maintained and quite varied (be sure to come with a supply of spare balls!) - worth a detour. The château has a hotel (which seems very nice) and a restaurant that serves simple and good food at very reasonable prices... More
