Been here for lunch and early dinner several times as it's in a good location. Service rather disinterested and slow and food so so. Having been disappointed with cream tea/scones up the road at the Rectory tea rooms (rather hard) cam here to find that they were soft to the point of disintegrating before one could even get them in... We had the most delicious meal at this place last night and will send our visitors there for sure. The waitress was very helpful, friendly and an asset to the pub. We will be back !! Especially for the big bowl of ice cream, cream + shortbread !!!

You don't have to be Pret A Manger to teach your staff to smile once in a while. This place is complacent and doesn't deserve to be full. Ploughman's with tasteless cheese straight from freezer. Average scampi and chips which they've been doing since 1974. Kid's pizza and chips pretty shocking. And we got someone else's drinks added to our... More

We ate at this lovely old inn whilst on holiday after reading the great reviews in our properties guest book. Beautifully clean and well kept and great facilities for babies/children. Food was well priced, served promptły and catered for our baby with allergies. Food was even better than expected, and would love to ßtay! Keep up the good work!

Great pub grub, we had scampi and chips, great local beer and run by a lovely landlord. Locals very friendly too and are happy to chat with visitors. The location of the pub is fabulous overlooking the countryside and there is plenty of seating outside.

Sounded good, really ancient but also dark old property. Staff very nice and sandwiches good and huge servings, but a little over priced. Not very busy, but I suppose early , pre season. Wouldn't return to be honest.

The location of this lovely old pub is fantastic. Beers are also great. However, having eaten there three times now I'm sorry to say that the food leaves much to be desired. We had steak last night that tasted sour and had to be returned only to be replaced by meat equally as poor. The scampi was watery and soggy... More

This 13th century pub, romantically located in wild North Cornwall, oozes an atmosphere of history, hardship and intrigue as soon as you see it. Unfortunately, like the West Country`s most famous pub Jamaica Inn, it relies on its history and architectural interest and somewhat neglects the food. We went on a howling hailing winter night and the inside was so... More

Staying for a couple of weeks in a rental home with a bunch of friends, no cell phone coverage, no telly ... the Bush Inn became an almost obligatory daily destination, if only for the WiFi ! However, the Bush Inn is far more than that: a lovely old (13th century) pub run by really nice people, frequented by locals... More

Nice pub used to have locally sourced food. Now very basic over priced. Lack of service. Taking advantage of beautiful coastal location. But not worth eating here. Better to go to Bude for more choice. Cold plates. Tasteless food. Very expensive for what it is. Where's the local fish? Service? Quality? It's sadly not here at the moment.
