When we couldn't get into a Premier Inn for the night, this hotel was the nearest location when visiting a family member in Culcheth. We had read poor reviews that weren't very complimentary and were a bit apprehensive about staying here. However, it turned out to be very good for a budget priced hotel. It's called a country house hotel... More

We stayed here overnight with friends and the only down side was that the hotel was empty and so not much atmosphere. However staff and food and room were good.I feel some travellers have been unfair in the past and glad we didnt take notice.

We had to hastily arrange a wedding and only five weeks ago had no venue. The Rhinewood came to our rescue. Organising the food, reception room and DJ was no problem for the very friendly and helpful Sally. The hotel has plenty of rooms and the location just off the M6 and the GLazebrook railway station so close makes it... More

Only wanted a cheap overnight stay and what a great choice. Very friendly staff and room was clean and in good condition with good facilities. Only bar meals served and I must admit that there was little atmosphere and limited choice. The only veggie was not available. However the food that was served was good pub standard if a little... A great and efficient stay Tip : If you have difficulty in walking - let the hotel know before arrival. Circumnavigate the hotel to find disabled parking or spaces nearer the entrance door. I was in room 1 : There was no anti slip bath mat ( hotel now aware and promised to rectify ) and the floor is DANGEROUSLY... More

Stayed here for 1 night on business and being honest, I wouldn't go back and if I did, I would make sure I asked for a room at the front of the hotel, as the back backs out onto the Railway track which is noisy as hell :( - Staff were lovely, very pleasent, however, no one around when I... More

I stayed here for one night on a Saturday, as I was going to an event at the Leigh Sports Village a few miles away. I wanted somewhere inexpensive, convenient and comfortable, and this fitted the bill. I had room 14 which was upstairs and towards the back of the hotel, it was very quiet and peaceful, despite there being... More

It really depends what your reason for visiting is with regards to this hotel. . If you want to stay in the area and need a clean, reasonably priced and functional place to stay then this is a great choice. However, a country house hotel it is not It is a somewhat faded chain style hotel of a similar standard to... More

We paid £50 for a double room on a Saturday night which was reasonable. The staff were friendly and the room was a good size and clean. The hotel is also in a nice quiet area but a bit out of way of Warrington if you want to be close to the town centre. However, we found the bed to... More

Dear Mrs Brightside Thank you for the review. I am sorry to note that you did not find the bed comfortable. We change beds every 5 years. Its only 2 years since we last replaced the beds.
