As you drive in you notice that the car park is a mess and then the walk to reception confirms your worst fears. The area is overgrown with weeds and the steps by the entrance covered in leaves. Friendly enough greeting but then advised that the restaurant was closed!! The reception area is tired as is the room and bathroom,... More

Just wanted to say thank you to Sally and the other lady who made us feel so welcome on Saturday and Sunday! They both worked so hard to make guests welcome and were really friendly and welcome. We had two couples and another lady in our group and we thought the hotel was fine. Extremely clean rooms and bathrooms, nice... More

Met with large pothole on way in, car park littered and messy. Broken window flower pots filled with weeds! Steps on the way in untidy. Reception area smelled fusty. Once in room found woodlice in bathroom and questionably 'clean' bedsheets.

As you drive into the hotel car park you are met with weeds and deep potholes and I thought the building was abandoned. Even the steps going up to the building were covered in debris. After a reasonably easy check in I went to my room which smelt fusty although no evidence of dust. It was a very old fashioned... More

A few of us booked here our room was ok it was clean. Outside is untidy with weeds n rubbish. Went for a drink in bar only to be told there was only bottles due to supplier problems. Then found out it is supposed to be getting knocked down. We all ended up in the bar after hours and Lewis... More

Bath and plug had long hair, wash hand basin had old toothpaste, bathroom waste bin still had old tissues in it . Bedroom kettle still had old water and broken bed. To top it off kept awake by next door until 2am in the morning. Reception useless. Only good thing was the biscuits.

A lot of dust everywhere: inside and on the top of the wardrobe, in every device e.g. Ironing set, electric sockets and not quit clean carpet. Very close to the road. Definitely this is not a country quiet hotel. Bed and bathroom OK but sink situated not in the right place (too close the toilet).

This looks disgusting and dirty from the moment that you walk in. Everything is really old fashioned and the rooms have a certain strange smell. Room 25 was the first room that we was given. There were hairs in the bathroom, dead insects on the window, grime around the light switches, cracks down the wall above the bed, little holes... More

Unfortunately paid before seeing the room. Big mistake! It is not clean and we had to wipe/disinfect the toilet bowl, the sink and the shower with our own stuff. Then, I saw a big chunk of dust and hair in the corner of the bathroom, and spiderwebs hanging on the lights and ceilings. There were also two dirty cups that... More
