Unfortunately paid before seeing the room. Big mistake! It is not clean and we had to wipe/disinfect the toilet bowl, the sink and the shower with our own stuff. Then, I saw a big chunk of dust and hair in the corner of the bathroom, and spiderwebs hanging on the lights and ceilings. There were also two dirty cups that... More

Room was unclean (bed had a stain on it, dead moth on the wall, lots of dead insects in the bathroom light). Place seemed quite empty. Location is good, the breakfast was fine. It's not the best place in the world but to be honest, for the price, it was fine. If you need to be in the area and... More

We arrived at the hotel at the appointed time along with our two children only to find it utterly unsuitable, dirty and smelly. On arrival at the hotel, we parked in the car park and found an unknown quantity of tablets strewn across the ground. We reported this to reception. We thought it unusual that we were asked for payment... More

Arrived at unkempt grounds and parked on top of discarded or accidentally dropped tablets . Went to reception and (duh) paid before seeing the dirty and dingy rooms. Returned to reception and were taken to two other dirty and dingy rooms which smelled of stale sweat and had cups in the bath! finding dirty and clean laundry on the floor... More

Good value accommodation within striking distance of Old Trafford/Trafford Centre. The name does not help as anyone expecting a "Country House Hotel" rather than a budget hotel which happens to be in the country will be disappointed. Friendly staff. Can't comment on the bar/restaurant as it appeared to be shut (despite staying on a Saturday night. Comfortable bed and reasonable... More

i booked this hotel in a rush…. and i learnt my lesson. i didn't see any one eating at the hotel and there wasn't any where to eat within walking distance. the staff at the hotel were friendly enough and always happy to help, but for me it didn't make up for the lack of a decent beer and the... OK, so the place is closing permanently soon but unreliable wifi, two out of six beers off and being told in the evening that they weren't serving dinner as there had been a problem with the fridge the night before is just not on. The previous evening two adjacent diners ordered lamb shanks only to be told there was only... More

I guess I am a bit of a hotel snob but when client's are paying I try to find reasonably priced accommodation which was one of the factors in choosing this hotel. With areas I have not stayed in before, I look for something close to the client in a quiet location. I usually look at the prices of chain... More

I stayed here for one night. There was only 1 member of staff on to run reception and bar in the afternoon and evening. Although this at times was a bit hectic the 2 guys who did each shift were really friendly and helpful. Room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was made to order and as I had to... More

my boyfriend and I love this little hidden gem!! We have stayed numerous times and have never had a bad experience. The rooms are spacious and the beds are ultra comfy. Most of all the staff are fantastic and make you feel very welcome, nothing is too much trouble. Staying again tonight!!!!
