I often work in the area and usually stay at a Premier Inn, which I like and am happy with, however I thought I would try somewhere different. I do like hotels with character and this one has lots of it. Charm, peace and tranquillity set in some lovely gardens with some great trees. It was quite a haven to... More

The hotel overall is fine, plenty of car parking, not the easiest to find unless you are using sat nav in which case it is very easy. About 15 minutes off the motorway maybe less. Staff very pleasant. Rooms are basically good, maybe a little tired in places but nothing that would put me off coming here again. I booked... More

Dear Guest, Thanks very much for your review. It was lovely to read that you enjoyed your stay and have been back to us. I would recommend that when making your reservation, that you ask for inclusive breakfast which is charged at £10 supplement. If not then you end up paying the £17.95 for brekfast if you come through the... More

My husband & I stayed here as part of a wedding party. We upgraded to a deluxe room. The room overlooked the front of the hotel. The bed headboard was marked with the greasy headprints of previous occupants, the carpet was badly stained . The bath panel was broken & there were labels on the basin from the suppliers dated two months... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. It was great to read your comments because its amazing to see how much can change in 13 months. New headboards, many new carpets, all the rooms painted. Its a pity that you waited 13 months to let me know that I had forgotten to send that e-mail. In fact looking at the... More

We have just spent a night at this hotel and found all of the staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast gave plenty of choice and was nicely cooked. The room was not over large to contain a double and a single bed but as we were only a couple it was fine. We would be very happy to visit again.... More

I booked online from Manchester airport after a cancelled flight. I arrived 1 hour after booking and was impressed everything was already organised and ready for my stay. I arrived late, but the chef stayed to cook for me. A fine example of the helpful, courteous and thoughtful staff at this hotel. The downside to this hotel is that the... More

Dear Guest, Thanks for writing a review. The Lymm Hotel is a traditional hotel with a strong emphasis on hospitality. It was built at the same time as the railway line in front which has since disappeared, as the Plough Inn for the commuters from Manchester Central (now G-Mex) returning from a hard day's work. It is true that some... More

Was whisked away with my partner and his daughter and her partner for Valentines weekend. The hotel itself was charming. The staff very obliging and helpful.
