Staff are lazy don't go out of their way to make your experience a good 1. A shop is up the road but they tell you they are out once you have ordered. No enthusiasm at all! Shame as food is amazing! If the bar staff were more friendly we would go back.

Yes 5 rooms over a pub, that's all it is. The only thing glossy about this place is their website. In the flesh its a very run down dingy establishment. We only stayed 1 night although we were booked in for 2. My partner actually felt ill having to stay there 1 night. It's awful. Dated and worn out furniture,... More

We have been visiting the Seaview Pub for drinks many times in the past when we were living in the area. Last Weekend we were visiting friends in the area and thought we would have lunch at the pub and remember old times. We arrived around 2.20pm and after we had ordered our drinks we were told that the kitchen... More

Fortunately for us we were recommended this pub/hotel by another dog walker whilst walking on the South Downs Way and asked about somewhere for a good lunch that's will allow dogs as well. Easy to find at the end of Sea Road with the beach just a few yards further down with ice cream place if you can manage it... More

Seaview is a good pub - with good food & beers available in a good location just off the beach, but the accommodation seems to be sidelined. The approach stairs & fire door were tatty & in need of redecoration. The room was ok, but the bathroom extractor fan did not work so it left a musty smell. The shower... More

This is not a hotel it is a pub that rents rooms - not very clean rooms at that. The overriding smell is of damp and the general appearance is dirty. The food was adequate but there was no service. The roof terrace for the guests was 2 dilapidated tables and 4 chairs looking over a caravan site that was... More

Family room was ok. We had to move rooms on our second night and I was in a single, room 3. It was ok but the bathroom was grim. Nobody cared is why I think its got to be so grubby, I think its run by managers rather than owners. The toilet in room 3 was interesting! It was one... More

We, twice. First time, okay. Second time was Sunday lunch. Now who puts lettuce dressing on roast beef and yorkshire pub? Meat just about all right, vegetables undercooked, just about the worse ever tasted. Great pity. Roast potatoes ever more badly cooked, hardly warm and raw inside. Decided on our stay in the area not to go back

Upon arrival, morose staff, pub not hotel, room stunk of damp, dirty, in need of repair, no nets yet led straight out onto private roof terrace for hotel guests, dirty bit of roof with 2 scruffy tables and 4 chairs. Food not available Sunday nights, not advised, miserable owner, private party with very loud disco until nearly 11.30 on a Sunday... More

Recommended by neighbour for pub meal. Was not disappointed. Hope to visit again soon as we are new to the area. Have not used the hotel yet as we live in the neighbourhood so there is no point. Nice background music accompanied the meal.
