Small rooms with magnificent landscape. Well kept. Full breakfast was delicious. Muffins were first rate. Hard working owner maintains a welcome atmosphere towards a lasting impression for those passing through.

All we could expect & more, a charming house with gardens stretching down to beautiful Manitou lake, with Carol as welcoming warm host, and the added joy breakfasting with fellow guests. Ian & Diane UK

This is the most perfect B&B if you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful getaway from all the busy-ness. The house's backyard overlooks Lake Manitou, and the Irene room has a window view of the lake and backyard. There are 4 rooms upstairs and each has its own bathroom facilities (but 2 of the rooms have a tub instead of... More

This is the prettiest little B&B on the Island. The gardens are picture perfect and the lake is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are cottage country and so clean and pretty. The beds are extremely comfortable with soft clean linens. Everything we needed for a girls weekend. We chose the apartment with 2 queen size beds and the 4 of us... More

Had an amazing stay, the food from dinner to breakfast was incredible even the accommodation to a veggie diet. The place was fabulous from the breath-taking water to the enchanting garden. Loved watching the sunset from the porch. Would highly recommend. Carol is an amazing woman full of energy and spunk and a fabulous host.

It's quite the trip out to Manitoulin Island, but well worth it. We flew in a small airplane to East Manitoulin Airport, and Carol graciously met us at the airport. Good thing too - we hadn't planned for just how big the island is! The Rockville Inn is situated on Lake Manitou, so you can swim in the fresh water... More

“Watch out for deer!” we are continually warned as we drive across the largest freshwater island in the world, but what exactly does one do with a dead porcupine lying prone on the road? It’s quite simple for Carol Sheppard. She hoists a shovel out of her car’s trunk and scoops up the lifeless critter into a plastic bag. Then,... More

We had such a lovely stay the first time that we decided to come back, explore the island, and stay at Rockville Inn again. Although it's not located in any of the little villages on Manitoulin, it's very well signed and easy to find. Carol is a wonderful hostess and a thoroughly lovely person. The rooms are cozy and comfortable,... More

This is a great place to stay near Mindemoya.. It was a relaxing experience from beginning to end. Rockville Inn is very well marked with lots of signs to get you from the main road to the inn without a minute of concern. Just when you ask, "Where are we?" there is another sign letting you know you are going... More
