This was our fourth stay, so we obviously like the place. This year was no better nor any worse than in previous years. Not a lot of noticeable improvements or upkeep from years past nor were there any egregious warts. The highlands are a place to relax and Hillview provides a pretty good place to do just that. Nice balconies,... More

Pro: good location: off a not very busy road, but close to everything Nice staff (showed world championship games at 4am, offer tours and give you advise where else you could organize one) Offer good breakfast for fair prices Clean rooms with own bathroom and towels Contra: Thin walls, you can hear everything

S tayed here for two nights and suffered from the noise of our 'neighbours'. The staff is not very welcoming and sometimes absent for a while. The place is charming though, close to the centre, and you can book tours from the hotel.

The rooms are quite big and clean. But windows and (balcony) doors don't close well. Becourse it is often cold in the highlands the hotel is cold as well. Staff is helpfull and can help you with a lot of activities. The price is good (value for money).

Nothing special to report- just a room to sleep. We spent 3 nights at Hillview Inn. The room had no a/c or fan, but this was not necessary in the cooler climate of the Cameron Highlands. The linen didn't look clean, but must have been washed, as it smelled fine. The room had a double bed, wardrobe, attached bathroom with... More

Though there's noise of a construction going incessantly in the day time that marred the serenity of the place. However, the nice garden and the balcony makes this hotel a nice place to take it easy amd read a book or simply do nothing and just be. I would recommend this place for someone wbo looks for a no frills... More

My reviews on here are usually quite short but I think it will be helpful to offer more detail on this one. First the good. It's basic but very clean and pretty cheap $108 for two nights. There's also a cafe area at the front that is inexpensive and does decent breakfast options. While the rooms are fairly small and... More

This hotel is in a very good location within easy walking distance of the town and It is a very attractive building. The rooms are basic and in need of some refurbishment but they are clean and comfortable. It was a little cold at night but this was actually quite a refreshing after heat of the rest of the country.... More

we were looking for a place close from the tanah rata from where the sightseeing tours pickups will be available. And the hotel is perfect for the same. The hotel location is quite good, but as everywhere in Malaysia, soon the hill view will vanish as the very hill is being scraped and bulldouzed to make room for further activity.... More

Hotels are very expensive here for what you get. This hotel is spotless but rooms are small. Carpets are threadbare and stained. Breakfast is extra. This hotel needs new carpet and some bedding. Only sheets and a blanket supplied. No a/c but not really needed it here. Lights stay on outside all night so I woke up at 3am and... More
