Father's moved from its old location about two years ago- a fact I completely ignored when I drove up there. The building is effectively brand new and is kept spotless. My only gripe is the same one I have with a lot of hotels in South East Asia; no hot water in the hand basin, which makes shaving a little... More

Our room in father's guest house has probably been the best room we have stayed in during our 9 month travels. We could only stay for 2 night and then move to cheaper place because it was more expensive than our budget allowed us. But it was worth it since it is such a lovely guesthouse, very clean, lovely stuff,... More

An o.k. place with great reception staff, very friendly and informative. The place does seem more biassed to be run for the housekeeping staff than the guests though.Four mornings I went down to make breakfast tea and have a quiet cuppa in the GUESTS sitting area to find two of four settees used by cleaning staff as beds for their children?... We booked 3 nights here and upon arrival, decided to extend our stay by another night. The room, with a bed and ensuite bathroom, was clean and very spacious. What I loved the most was all the common areas available! You can sit inside, outside, there is so much space! The staff are great too. Bella was very friendly and... More

The first thing I noticed when arriving after a 5-hour bus drive, is the friendliness of the staff. Bella is an extremely lovely person, and truly enhanced the pleasantness of my stay. Moreover, the hostel itself is lovely; nicely decorated and a great veranda, making this a really pleasant hostel to stay and relax (after hiking) for a few days.... More

we really liked father's guesthouse on our trip to the Cameron Highlands. Rooms were ok equiped, quite spacios (we had a big double room ensuite), clean with comfi bed and warm blankets (really necessary during cool nights). There are many possibilites to sit outside and have a cool beer, enjoying a peaceful evening, chat with some other travellers or just... More

Clean, comfortable, perfect. They have a list of tours and make traveling very easy. Staff is very knowledgeable about the area. We stayed in a private room with two twin beds, it was very comfortable. Definitely recommend.

When we arrived in Tanah Rata we had already booked a room for the first night. Never the less we first went to the Father's Guesthouse to ask if they had rooms for 2 persons available for the upcoming twi nights. And we were lucky and got a room which we made a reservation for. That night we already booked... More

Stayed here four nights and really enjoyed it. Clean and nice private rooms, as well as great staff. Bella was very kind and helped with suggestions for tours and anything else you needed. Valerie(sorry if misspelled!) is a wonderful person with a great smile helping in any way she can. Free coffee and tea plus a book exchange. Highly recommend... More

We had a wonderful time staying at Father's Guesthouse. The staff we're fantastic, Valarie and Bella we're able to help us with booking our tours and exiting transport. Very clean and simple rooms with lovely socialising areas. The tours are great ways to meet other guests! The tour organised through the guesthouse was amazing, we went on a good hike... More
