Only stayed one night. Father´s guest House is a nice backpacker place. Our private room was clean and a small bathroom was integrated (ok for one night). The place is well located and you are at the main street within 5min walk. Recommendations for Cameron Highlands: - Do a walk in one of the Tea Plantages - Go to the... More

We had a lovely stay at fathers guesthouse a few days ago. The guesthouse felt very much like home and the hosts were very warm and nice people who really took the time talking to you and giving advise (about food and traveling in Malaysia). The guesthouse has its own restaurant with amazingly good curry! Overall we had a lovely... More

Everything a budget hostel should be. It was clean, cheap, friendly and had a great atmosphere. The staff are very helpful and make staying there very easy. The rooms are spotless and spacious. They have great sitting areas with free tea and coffee so it's easy to meet other travellers. They even made us proper toast (not limp warm bread)-... More

I was recommended to stay here by a friend and it was a great experience from the first minute! I met lovely travelers, did a very hard hike to see the amazing Raffelsia flower and fell in love with the BOH tea plantation! Make sure you call ahead and book because this is a popular location: free tea and nice... More

This is quite a popular place to stay in the cameron highlands so may be worth booking ahead rather than just turning up- it was fully booked when I stayed here. I booked a day in advance. I had a double room to myself for a couple of nights and although the rooms and bathrooms are fairly basic, the guest... More

Father's Guest House is more of an attraction than a guest house. There is more to see there than in most sites I visited. Comfortable, clean, wonderful and friendly people, excellent customer service. You don't find any need to go out except on one of its tours. There is an excellent restaurant, a small bar with a variety of drinks,... More

I love this place. It's a short walk back from the main strip, so the noise levels are almost non - existent, the atmosphere is fantastic, the rooms clean and comfortable (though the dorm bunk beds squeak something chronic with even the slightest movement!) The staff are friendly and helpful, offering advice on anything from where to eat, to which... More

There is not much in terms of back packer options in Tanah Ruta, we looked at nearly every option. All are similar in price but there are wide variations in quality. We stayed here as two couples sharing a family room with a shared bathroom, the rooms were clean & tidy and there are ample bathrooms that are always kept... More

The staff was very welcoming and helpful during our stay. The rooms was a nice size and clean. You definetely don't need aircon here as its cooler up in the highlands, though a fan is still nice. Throught the guesthouse we also booked a daytour of the region which was very good, if you go for a halfday take the... More
