We stayed at Gerard's place for two nights and enjoyed our stay. The staff was really friensly abd helpful. The common areas were excellent and breakfast nice (all you can eat tea, coffee and toast with jam). The hostel was a bit hard to find to though. Also our bedsheets were very damp but I guess that's more because of... More

Unbelievably friendly, clean and good value. The owner will go out of her way to help you out, even drove us to the bust station in her own car. Her son is also very nice, he showed us the way to the guest house through the rain when we arrived. We were backpacking as I for 10 months and this... More

This place is pure bliss! For those on a long journey through SE Asia, I highly recommend splashing the cash on Gerard's place. It's like being at home. Living room with nice couches, a kitchen for making basic food (C.Highlands food was very disappointing), comfortable bed, and really nice owners. Their tours are a little more expensive than others, but... More

We are traveling through Asia and we stayed in Gerard's while visiting the Cameron Highlands. It is a small apartment and we felt like it was home for the 3 nights we were there. There is a common kitchenette and a living room to relax (and watch world cup games!). The highlights are deffinitely Jay and her son Joshua. They... More

On arrival to Tanah Rata we originally intended to stay in Father's Guesthouse, but we were referred here last minute because of full booking (arising from some miscommunication). I believe this is usually not the case since its Gerard's is more highly rated in TA, but for our case our host Jay told us that the entire area around Gerard's... More

Gerard Richard does everything necessary plus much more to make you feel at home. Enjoyed every moment of our stay at fathers guest house! Valarie who works at fathers is an absolute darling who will help you with every small request. Very friendly and homely atmosphere. Do do the long trek conducted by Jason Chin, was the highlight of our... More

Gerard's place is worth every penny. It has a homey feel, the rooms are clean, big and comfortable. We felt very at home, also thanks to jay who gives a lot of information about anything you wish. The guesthouse is a little bit out of the city centre, but it's only a 10 minute walk. I'd highly recommend this place.

Genuinely a home from home in the Malaysian hills. Wow, what a great stay. Ok it was a bit windy outside, and something was making a right noise in the wind, but hey, i'm being picky. Really nice building, and lovely interior. Not to mention the rose garden out back. Well located for getting in and around Tanah Rata, and... More
