This place was great. Clean, communal areas, outside space, kitchen to use, board games, breakfast included, and tea and coffee whenever you want. The host, Jay, was really nice and helpful, giving us great advice about doing the trails on our own. Shared bathrooms were spotlessly clean and had hot water (just what you need after a day hiking). Really... More

It's a bit hard to find so go to Father's Guesthouse and they will call the owners to pick you up. Once you know where it is, it's easy to find. It's on top of a hill so you may want a taxi to get back. The guesthouse is spotless and well-managed, great choice for backpackers on a budget. Internet... More

It is quite a trouble locating this place, bcz this place is basically two units of a block of an apartment, which is called 'CARNATION', under HERITAGE HOTEL. You have to just follow the SIGNBOARD OF HERITAGE HOTEL, enter, and you will see blocks of apartments which look the same. Go straight, and turn left and look for the block... More

This place is located in a residential area, about 10 min from town. It is quit, has nice rooms, has a adorable terrace and all the common area's are clean. This guesthouse is mainly managed by the son and his mother who are 2 very nice people (the son is incredible in his knowledge about soccer worldwide). They both make... More

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this guesthouse! We just loved the ambiance - you feel like you’re in someone’s home, which is very nice. The rooms are nice and spacious and very clean! I stayed at Father’s Guesthouse 15 years ago and it was such a great experience to meet the owners (who are now managing both Father’s Guesthouse... More

We stayed 2 nights at this very good B&B, in a double room with bathroom. The room was furnished simply, but with a proper wardrobe and bedside tables and lights, with a big window looking out over the beautiful garden. The bathroom was rather basic (BYO toiletries) and we did have a bit of trouble with the hot water heater,... More

My husband is usually quite sceptical about staying at a place such as Gerard's. However, after spending a couple of hours in the room and, interacting with Jay and her lovely son Joshua, he was floored. A lot about Jay's hospitality is already mentioned in the reviews here. What stood out for us was her knowledge of local history and... More

We stayed 4 nights total here; the first 3 nights in the smaller, 3-bedroom apartment, then one additional night in the larger (maybe 9-bedroom?) apartment. For our taste we much preferred the smaller apartment, but were lucky to be able to stay the extra night in the larger one as we hadn't originally booked the 4th night and it was... More

In an apartment block about ten minutes walk from the centre of town. Felt more like a homestay. Friendly bunch of people. Decent room. Simple, help-yourself breakfast of toast and fruit. Tea and coffee on tap 24/7. Helpful with tours and onward travel. Would recommend the Eco Cameron half-day tour. Great fun and very knowledgable guides. All-in-all, a nice experience.... More

This guesthouse is easily my favorite. The owner is so sweet. They will set up everything for you and will recommend the best places to eat and see. The guesthouse feels like a home with a comfy couch, TV, wonderful kitchen, and outside patio. It was also a wonderful environment to meet people. I went there as a solo traveler... More
