We didn't really enjoy our stay here. The staff of this lodge isnt really much of a help. They help with bookings of tours and transports, which they offer, but that's about it. They can't tell you things about the treks, like if they are maintained or how long they are. All they do is sell a map which is... More

Yeah it's the cheapest but... you REALLY get what you pay for a place where to crash, that's all. They have a nice place to meet other travelers in the terrasse and it's located in the center of Tanah Rata, the capital of the Highlands but in a really quite place. The only bad thing is the receptionist, he is... More

I stayed in the dorm, which is very basic and hosts around 16 people in a room and the hallway to it. Was always quiet in the evening, but gets noisy in the morning as most people leave early. Sheets are clean and hope you get a fleece blanket (it gets quite cool during the night), consider bringing a pyjama.... More

We asked for a triple room with bathroom. We got one, but to our disappointment it had no window to the outside world, and the only window it had was to the inner corridor which leads to shared bathroom. As a result we were only two thin plaster walls from the shared bathroom and could hear all the sounds from... More

We stayed here 4 nights, the lodge have a big common area with couches, tables, chairs and a good wifi connection. Its easy to meet people there, and its only 200 m from the busy mainstreet. The attached bar (think its called jungle somthing) in the back is great for bonfire and beer drinking at night. We stayed in a... More

The lodge is on a side street just up a small hill from the main street (easy to find, there are signs) so its quiet, peaceful lodge that a really relaxed atmosphere. We stayed in the cheapest twin room and yes it was small but the sheets were clean and no bed bugs. The common area is massive with heaps... More

I stayed at Daniel's Lodge in may 2014 for a couple of nights, and stayed in the 8 beds dorms with no lockers. Basically, this hostel is really basic, but the price is a bargain. Bonus: there is hot shower in the common bathroom ! As I am used to stay in the cheapest place every time, with limited comfort... More

The hostel is centrally located which is its best (only) positive aspect. The room was standard size but had an incredibly horrible smell in it. Mostly coming from the linens. When we asked to change the linens (we stayed 3 nights), the staff didn't honor our request due mostly to indifference it seemed. The front desk guy was helpful only... More

Excellent price and ideally located for exploring the Cameron Highlands. We spent one night watching Donnie Brasko with about a dozen other residents of various nationalities and this added to the brilliant atmosphere that this accomodation has. Staff were very friendly and very inofrmative about the area.

Went to ask the reception about the dorm and its size, but was told by the receptionist that the dorm is full, told him again that that was not the question I asked, and he said more than 10 person. Asked him again the exact figure, and he said again more than 10, maybe he can fit 10000??? What a... More
