Firstly I would like to say that when we stayed here on may 12th we were told by the owners that they had only just taken over this b&b so don't be put off by the older negative reviews about the previous owners...now for the review. We arrived early for our 1 night anniversary stay and were warmly welcomed by... More

Basic and adequate. Room was clean. Water pressure low for shower. Didn't appear to be any heating in the annex room apart from an electric heater. Thin curtains on door and windows. Disappointed with the watery orange juice made from concentrate served at breakfast.

Great value-for-money place to stay. Friendly staff, fabulous breakfasts, clean rooms. The owner even kindly dropped myself and my son into town later in the evening which was a nice touch. Highly recommended for a short break or stop over.

After reading the other reviews I too was dreading going to the old rectory. But what a lovely little place it turned out to be. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by kind and friendly staff and nothing was to much for them. The room was clean and presentable and was a nice little place for the price.... More

IF CLEANLINESS, GOOD SERVICE AND SECURITY ARE THE MINIMUM STANDARDS THAT YOU EXPECT ON HOLIDAY, DON'T BOTHER STAYING HERE!! My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights for my birthday and it was terrible. When we first arrived we were shocked by the state of the room. The bedding was dirty, creased and nothing matched. The pillow cases didn't... More

We stayed here a few years back, when the newer block of rooms were still being built and it was ok then, so we decided to book here again for 2 nights. This time we stayed in the newer block and it was pretty clean, shower not very powerful. Room felt and smelt a bit damp and there was a... More

We were thinking of cancelling our break here because of the negative reviews. I am so glad we didnt! I honestly dont know what people expect when they book a b and b for £30 pppn! No its not the Ritz but for the money it is great value. Our room was spotlessly clean. The grounds were stunning, breakfast was... More

We booked over the net and paid in full. Our room was shocking, the tea tray was on a padded footstool only a small tray to put your cups on. the two cups supplied were very dirty stained. in the bathroom the towel rail was on the floor , the toilet seat was cracked and was very loose. after two...
