The winter rate here is 300 quid for a month .....................yep, that's right! Nice location (quiet), free and lots of parking, nice room - mine was en-suite with a t.v. and kettle, there's a Post Office and a shop opposite and two nice owners. Worth a winter escape at this price.

We went here for a quick weekend break for my birthday. The hotel is located near the Brean Downs. It's walking distance to the beach, amusement parks and caravan sites. It was my first time to visit the area - and am glad we did! The hotel hosts are nice and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast... More

Having been a regular customer over the last ten years I am sorry to say that the old rectory has unfortunately gone down hill. The rooms are very tired and in need of a major refurbishment. The breakfast which I have to say used to be one of the best is now all too much trouble for the owners who... More

We've just returned home from a fabulous weekend stay at The Old Rectory. I'm glad I didn't read the Tripadvior reviews prior to booking as I think I may not have booked. As it was I was able to make up my own mind and I'm very glad that was the case. On arrival we were greated and checked in... More

Stayed recently 'incognito' if you like for a travel mag having been contacted re my first review. Firstly I would like to ask the owner a question, when someone gives a bad review you answer (in a very arrogant way) but, when they give a good review you say nothing! Why is this? Are the 'good' reviews your own? Makes... More

We booked this two hours before we left on a Saturday afternoon. Didn't really know what to expect, but we were really pleasantly surprised. Had a warm welcome from owners Stuart and Wendy, they had good local knowledge of restraunts and other activities. The beach is a 2 minute walk away. Breakfast was fantastic along with the service. They have... More
