Our three nights are Kahanda Kanda rounded up a delightful holiday in Sri Lanka. The room (Garden Suite) and the setting were charming but the general atmosphere and superb food made it a particularly special place. The lunchtime salads were a perfect size and delicious. Knowing that the evening meal was going to be so exceptional, we were reluctant to... More

all in short... this is one of the best boutique hotel I've ever visited in the down south. the place is located off touristic environment. The hotel building looks colonial and the view of outside are different from every side.

One of the best lunches we've had In Sri lanca, in the wonderful surroundings of George Cooper's boutique hotel just north of Galle. Delicious tuna and a scrummy chicken Caesar salad, and an excellent wine list. The hotel is chic and in the most wonderful setting

I almost don’t want to write this review as, if this hotel gets any better known, it may prove hard for me to get it ! This is my 6th visit to KK as it is known, and it continues to be my hotel of choice for some winter sun and heat. We were here for Christmas for 12 nights... More

We didn't stay here but came for lunch on the recommendation of a Brit living in Sri Lanka further along the coast. The place looks stunning and is perched high on a hill in beautifully manicured gardens with ponds and a lovely swimming pool, overlooking pretty spectacular scenery. We ate three courses from a set menu with a few variable... More

We loved every minute. Beautiful situation. We spent every evening sitting on the balcony watching the monkeys, peacocks and parrots in the forest. Meanwhile we were living in the lap of luxury. Beautiful decor. Amazing meals. Warm pool. The staff were professional and looked after our every need. And the owner, George, made sure everything was amazing. Our travel agent... More

We stayed here with friends for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. We had the Tea Suite and Garden Suite which are absolutely perfect for 2 couples travelling together as they share a huge wrap around exterior terrace with sofas (I'm not sure how this would work with strangers next door??!). We did a two centre holiday and decided this... More

Thank you for your review of your stay at KK, and for the many complimentary comments it contains. However, I am sorry that you felt that the wine selection was expensive and "almost undrinkable". We have a selection of 14 red and white wines, of varying price and with an appeal to hopefully a wide range of palettes. We do... More

KK, yes it is expensive BUT you get exactly what you pay for and more. Never been here for dinner before, the ambience is amazing at night. The service is faultless, guys look great in their all white uniforms. From the moment the five of us walked into the premises we were treated like royalty. Extensive cocktail menu all very... More

My wife and I are Travel Agents in Brisbane, and have stayed in 253 Hotels / Resorts, in 109 cities, in 41 countries. So we feel we are in a position of knowing the difference between a good and not so good hotel. Kahanda Kanda though was our first experience in a Boutique Property, and we certainly didn't know what... More
