My wife and I spent 2 nights here and could have stayed 2 or 3 more easily. We were in the tea suite, the most modest of rooms and it was beautiful. For more secluded experiences asks them about other suites. The room is ornate, the bed beautiful. The bathroom is open air with the shower surrounded by plants and... More

After our first visit many years ago our plan is to stay in every single one off KK's gorgeous suites & we thought we were doing well having previously stayed in Dubu, Peacock, Tamarind, Garden & this time Tea but as fast as we tick them off the list George goes & adds another one! This time we travelled with... More

Only 25 minutes car ride east of Galle is this restful hotel on a hill with wonderful views across Koggala Lake and lush green countryside . Each room is in a separate building with its own garden and small pool . It is a haven from the heat and frenzy of Galle , which we found an underwhelming town and... More

We travelled to Kahanda Kanda for 3 nights, including two nights with our family and friends who attended our wedding held at the hotel. It is rare, that upon visiting a hotel, it exceeds your expectations. The website shows stunning photo's of the resort and grounds, however these aren't a patch on the real thing. The staff were impeccable throughout... More

Traveled from Colombo to Galle area to the resort which is a bit off the "beaten path" . Beautiful property on a hill overlooking a valley and lake. Huge bungalow which was most comfortable. Only issue was the bath area, toilet included, was outdoors which was different with mosquitos/bugs. Enjoyed massages and yoga and a small but functional fitness room.... More

KK is the perfect hideaway deep within the beautiful Sri Lankan countryside. It's set approximately 2.5 hours from the airport and a 20 minute tuk tuk ride form the lovely Galle fort filled with shops, restaurants and bars. The menu was understandably limited given all fresh produce is used but the food was faultless and beatifully presented. We stayed in... More

Galle was our last destination in Sri Lanka having visited Sigiriya and Kandy and it was the icing on our Ceylon cake! The hotel amenities basic but functional though lighting is poor in bathroom. Big difficulties for me shaving thru lack of lighting so one can imagine the fun my wife had preparing herself! Found the bed very comfortable but... More

Me and my husband we spent here 3 nights , during Christmas 2015. It is a secluded small boutique hotel , hidden in the middle of the jungle , managed by a british gentleman , with impeccable taste. The hotel is a mixture of beautiful contemporary and colonial design style. The rooms are spacious, with generous terraces. The room as the the... More

Hotel is in the habit of misrepresenting things. I feel they assume wealthy people do not care if they are cheated because they can afford it. Here are my top 3 lies: 1. This hotel is 30 minutes drive from the ocean. Deceptive pictures on their website showing the beach and shoreline fooled us into thinking they were on the... More

I am deeply saddened that you believe we have misled you – and other customers, in relation to our location. At NO point, do we claim the hotel is on the beach. On our home page we state quite clearly that you need transport to get to the beach or to Galle Fort. We are in fact 15 minutes from... More

It was for our Christmas & New Year break that we planned to visit Kahana Kanda, a hill resort surrounded by jungle and tea plantation. The tea plantation belongs to the property. It started as a necessity but turned into an opportunity to stay in different rooms during one visit. We started in the 'Mango' room. It's one of the... More
