We had room one, a big comfortable room with an extra bed should you need it. The bed was so comfortable with a big squashy duvet. Sue was a really nice lady and very helpful, helped us find the place and booked our cab to go out to dinner. After a good English breakfast we were on our way. We... More

Sue was lovely and very friendly. The rooms were decorated to a high standard and very comfortable with walk in showers, tv and wifi . Breakfast was great, very tasty. All in all a brilliant stay and we would come back again if we're in the area. Great job sue

I've stayed at the Brownlow for the last five years on business and this luxury guesthouse is a little gem that has never let me down. The rooms are beautifully appointed, spotless clean and feature luxurious pocket-sprung beds and quality bed linnen. Sue makes a great effort at providing a super breakfast, whether you want the full grill, or just... More

We spent one night here recently in a deluxe room which was one of the most comfortable we have ever spent a night in. The bed was really comfortable and the room was warm and welcoming, and much needed after a 4 hour walk along the beautiful Ridgeway. I would agree with some of the reviews that the owner has... We spent one nighttime at the brownlowe. I don't know if it was bad luck, but lots did not go as well as it could have done. On a very cold day, there was not enough water for both fiancé and I (the owner said that it was timing, and if we needed the water after five it would have... More

My wife and I and another couple stayed 1 night here after completing the 87 mile Ridgeway trail. A friendly local gave us a ride from the pub to our accommodation which was typical of the many people we met along the trail. The English are the friendliest people around. Our room was the biggest room I have ever stayed... More

Eric and Sue were more than happy to accept us at fairly short notice and also to accommodate our 2-year-old daughter without any problem. Our room was immaculately clean and comfortable with plenty of space for a travel cot. Everything has been thought through well (although the sinks were a bit shallow for the kettle) and our room was very... More

A fleeting one night visit found a lovely, clean room, furnished very nicely. As we didn't occupy until the early hours Sue arranged for the room to be available to us despite arriving about 2am. Breakfast was supplied to order cooked very nicely. Thanks.

Not quite sure about other review re the service at The Brownlow, we are in the hotel business in Ireland and stayed here for 2 nights and our hosts were superb! They were so obliging and Sue could not have done enough for us. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. Owner/chef Eric cooked us a wonderful breakfast, Sue served... More

We tried to book a standard double. When I mentioned we have a baby, I was told under 6s are not welcome. They would make an exception but only if we paid for a deluxe room! we decide not to stay because of the bad attitude and also the other reviews talking about bad customer service.
