We stayed for three days with our 8 year old and loved it. Sue and Eric could not have been more warm and charming. The rooms are perfect. Clean, modern and comfortable. The beds are comfortable. There are loads of towels. And the view of the canal and the canal boats is just lovely. I am surprised at some of... More

There is no expense spared in the room decor here. It was so beautiful, a really special place to stay. The room was a treat. Old converted stables with gorgeous furniture, 100% white soft cotton sheets, high ceilings, beams, remote control skylight. Superb! Breakfast was everything u could want served at a large & lovely solid farmhouse table. Hostess helpful... More

This place offers a clean, adequate room with a comfortable bed & pleasant bathroom. The breakfast was fine. However, I have never yet come across such terrible hosting- being made to feel like the person you were paying was doing you a favour to let you stay- but they weren't happy about it. We stayed for a wedding & as... More

Sue and Eric's B & B has a lovely location by the side of the Grand Union canal, convenient for lovely walks or in my case painful runs ! My wife and I had a great room, which, have I think, have been converted from stables. Bed was comfy with a nice duvet and after a good nights sleep all... More

We had room one, a big comfortable room with an extra bed should you need it. The bed was so comfortable with a big squashy duvet. Sue was a really nice lady and very helpful, helped us find the place and booked our cab to go out to dinner. After a good English breakfast we were on our way. We... More

Sue was lovely and very friendly. The rooms were decorated to a high standard and very comfortable with walk in showers, tv and wifi . Breakfast was great, very tasty. All in all a brilliant stay and we would come back again if we're in the area. Great job sue

I've stayed at the Brownlow for the last five years on business and this luxury guesthouse is a little gem that has never let me down. The rooms are beautifully appointed, spotless clean and feature luxurious pocket-sprung beds and quality bed linnen. Sue makes a great effort at providing a super breakfast, whether you want the full grill, or just... More

We spent one night here recently in a deluxe room which was one of the most comfortable we have ever spent a night in. The bed was really comfortable and the room was warm and welcoming, and much needed after a 4 hour walk along the beautiful Ridgeway. I would agree with some of the reviews that the owner has... We spent one nighttime at the brownlowe. I don't know if it was bad luck, but lots did not go as well as it could have done. On a very cold day, there was not enough water for both fiancé and I (the owner said that it was timing, and if we needed the water after five it would have... More

My wife and I and another couple stayed 1 night here after completing the 87 mile Ridgeway trail. A friendly local gave us a ride from the pub to our accommodation which was typical of the many people we met along the trail. The English are the friendliest people around. Our room was the biggest room I have ever stayed... More
