My mum and I had lunch here as a wee treat for her 65th birthday. The setting was lovely, the menu offered good variety and the service was great. My mum chose the 'roast of the day' which was beef - the portion was large but everything was cooked to perfection. The 'seafood special' of monkfish wrapped in smoked salmon... More

We stayed with some colleagues for two nights to attend the Pipers Festival after a double booking error made by the Mansion House in Elgin. The room appeared tired and in need of redecoration and the somewhat dated bathroom had a loo that took ages to flush then dripped noisily thereafter. The bed was large and very comfortable but between... More

We decided recently to try out the Sunday carvery at this establishment and all five of us were most impressed and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. A good selection of vegetables, boiled and roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and gravy to accompany the three roast meats really hit the spot and the sticky toffee puddings rounded off our meals in fine style.... We went to this restaurant on the 10th of May in a group of 6. It was my parents' 25th Wedding Anniversary celebratory meal. I had rung up the hotel a couple days in advance and asked if there was anything they could do to make it a bit more special and they said they could get the manager to... More

We went here for the first time since the new owner r ecently to celebrate a family member birthday.the staff were young but very good, they were helpful and efficient and took time to explain the choices on the menu. We had 2 children and they got exactly what they wanted. There was a good choice of food on offer... More

There were three of us walking along the Coastal Trail and we'd had trouble booking a room anywhere near Spey Bay so we booked in here. The rooms are nice - modern, clean and comfortable. The food is also good and although the staff are all very young the service was fine at dinner and we had a good meal. My... More

I booked here because I was hard pushed to find anywhere else in the area. I looked online and the reviews were amazing so I upgraded to the suite and was going to treat it as a luxury night away.Even Alex Salmond had sung its praises !!!! When we arrived we were greeted by a tatty entrance that gave the... More

2 night business stay, room was small although clean, basic facilities. Shower took ages for the water to get hot, could've made a cup of tea while waiting. Got more frustrating when on the second morning I heard an instant power shower in the room next door. Walls are thin, I could hear a phone vibrating next door also. Evening... More

Had a nice stay (1 night) Asked for a room with a bath and was given one with no issues. Dinner was very tasty and a good price. A random choice of stay as was in between where I was working. Will stay there again if up that way.

First meal out for my wife and I since having our first child and since we have been here quite a few times before we thought it would be a good shout. In recent times we have found the food to be a high standard and the price reasonable especially the Sunday carvery. On this occasion we both had three... More
