We stayed here last Saturday night as we had a party in the area. We was very pleased with our room (room 1). The bathroom was very big and nice. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. We had a drink in the bar and also ate dinner there which was very... More

First visit to the Pheasant and a very pleasant one it was. We pre-booked as a large group of 8 and we where we sat we had plenty of room, not at all cramped. Service was good considering it was very busy, staff were lovely. The food was excellent, plates piled high and very good quality. Would go there again... More

Stayed one night, on Saturday. Lovely room and very comfy bed. Bathroom had fab bath and shower. Great view of windmill and surrounding countryside. Didn't eat there in evening as going to a party but menu looked good. Had the full english breakfast, absolutely spot on and good quality ingredients. Had a couple of beers Saturday evening and enjoyed the... More

Very good gastro pub. Locals very funny and welcoming. Let us sit by the fire because we were soaked and really cold. Food quite expensive but well worth it. Great night 4 people £105 would definitely go back but live in Devon. Varied list of specials, they certainly know what they are doing . We went on a Monday night... More

We visited this pub 10 days ago, I have visted before and always found the hospitality of Shaun the manager to be excellent. Not on this visit. We stayed for two nights and leant that Shaun the manager and his wife the chef were leaving. I brought family to eat at the outlet and although service was slow the meal... More

Stayed here for a nigh over the weekend and had a great experience. Comfortable, high quality and modern room. All clean except for a dusty cup, not the end of the world. Breakfast was spot on. Would definitely recommend!

We went to the Pheasant last minute for lunch Bank Holiday Monday. I called the restaurant 20 minutes before we would have arrived and booked a table without hassle. I needn't have done so however as the raised decking outside has been fitted with a canopy for the winter, so despite the rain we sat outside comfortably to enjoy the... More

We stayed two nights in mid June before meeting up with Family after flying from New Zealand. Our room upstairs in the converted Bakehouse was perfect. The bed incredibly comfortable, the room immaculate, the bathroom modern and the furnishings very trendy. The views an unexpected bonus added to the charm of ' The Pheasant ' . The English Breakfast was... More

We stayed one night at The Pheasant in the new Bakehouse, which is in front of the pub, with the beer garden on your doorstep - literally. The accommodation was very new, having just been converted. Very comfortable large bed, nice powerful shower with pleasant toiletries, a flat screen smart TV with Freeview and free wifi. The room was exceptionally... More
