We stumbled upon this place a few months ago when a near bye place couldn't find us a lot able despot bring empty (seriously). Our first meal was good so we stopped by for a drink last week and the food looked inviting. Hence today we went for a light lunch and ended up having full roast beef. It was... More

had a really delicious dinner there. The pub was very full, on a friday evening, but the service was excellent and the steak we had was particularly good. The staff were charming and we would happily go there again.

Sunday lunch after a slog of a walk through the mud! Grand area for walking, perhaps not the best day! Smart without being over whelming. Four of us. All had different dishes and they were all first rate. Friendly service keeping up with the busy environment. I had scallops and chips; a rather unusually sounding dish - not surprised that... More

I had heard a lot of good about this pub as my parents frequent it when they have some time to themselves. The location is lovely with fabulous views. The pub itself if very welcoming and warm and the staff are very attentive. Sadly the food itself let this place down. Two of the party had brushetta which couldn't have... More

Having planned to visit another local, we found it was closed so we ventured over to The Pheasant for a "quick drink". The atmosphere was a fantastic mix of traditional pub and good dining. We had a couple of drinks and then of course needed to satisfy our increasing hunger!! So we elected to have some snacks which were superb... More

We had two rooms booked and they were both extremely comfortable. Bathrooms were very plush and everything was very clean. Had been slightly worried we'd find the rooms noisy but had no complaints. Would recommend

We popped out for a spot of lunch. The welcome from staff was lovely. It was extremely busy so we had to sit outside, which wasn't great. However whilst waiting for our food to arrive a table unknowingly to us had become available and we were offered to move inside. Lovely little pub, the outside doesn't do it enough justice.... More

Great place, had the garden room and could fault nothing. Dinner was fantastic and even served a nice "bubbly". My husband wants me to say that breakfast was the very best, I agree but he had the works and I stuck to the normal eggs and bacon. Everyone was very friendly.

Maybe it was because I had an early start and the chef was not in the kitchen, who knows, but the breakfast I was served was what I would describe as filthy. Orange juice straight from a long life pack, undercooked bacon which when I asked for it to be cooked some more was returned burnt at the edges but... More

Whilst driving round the Silverstone Classic Retrotour. Yesterday we felt like a pub lunch in a quaint spot. We very nearly drove past and had it not been for the windmill, we would have. The pub is a bit bland looking from the front, but at the side and rear the flowers and baskets are very pretty. The food and... More
