Had a lovely stay at this pub during a weekend break. It only had a small number of bedrooms so felt very select. For a small place the room was surprisingly open, airy and very clean - the sheets had a satisfyingly fresh smell! It felt like home from home. We ate in the Italian restaurant downstairs and the food... More

Very basic and overpriced, all things considered. The decor and furniture was a throw back to the 70's and without vintage charm. Service was rushed with only perfunctory friendliness! Breakfast no later than 8.45 (on a Sunday)..... not very hospitable and made us feel rushed! On the plus side, very clean.

Seeing that the weather forecast was good for the weekend, we decided to book Saturday night for a weekend in Northumberland. The Blue Bell Inn is about 1km from Embleton Bay and the fantastic huge beach there, with Dunstanburgh Castle on the south end of the bay. The B and B is above Sambuca an Italian themed Restaurant, but there... More

Have just returned from a three-night stay with my wife at The Blue Bell. We had a family room with en-suite shower/WC and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day each time. The lady who runs the B&B appears to do it more or less on her own, from cooking breakfast through to... More

Stayed 2 nights. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Bathroom was okay- but shower was quite small and not fast running. Breakfast was overall good. The owners were very friendly and hospitable. Had a full English Breakfast that was not so large that it overwhelmed. A pleasing stay.

Called in Saturday en-route to Warkworth, everywhere else closes at 3pm (What's that all about). Seated quickly, nice wine and the food was excellent. Pity the waitress was so miseable and un-interested. Still didnt spoil our visit, would return.

On arrival we were greeted with a lovely warm bustley pub feeling. (PROS) Beer- nice pint, food AMAZING & didn't wait too long considering they were very busy also barman very welcoming . CONS-the staff were all family & were messing/ fooling around whilst waiting to serve food, drinks etc IE: chasing each other around the customer eating areas quite unprofessional however... More

Great little bed and breakfast place on the Northumberland coast, me and my wife stayed here this weekend with 3 other couples and had a nice time. The rooms are clean and comfortable with the Sunday morning breakfast cooked by Ella very good, worth a visit if in this area.

Popped in after trekking round dunstanburgh castle all of us had a healthy appetite, which was fixed with hearty the hearty meals chosen. Was busy when we were in but no delays from the kitchen. Staff were all friendly and helpful, just wish it was closer to home. Definitely on the list of places to come back to next time... More

Salubrious location. Very keen staff. Very busy. May well return to use the attached sambuca Italian restaurant. There is plenty of parking near bye and it is great stop off point when visiting the Northumberland coast. Seating area outside is next to the road but it's not too busy. Nice spot.
