Pub: The Pub itself is full of character, the food is delicious and the service very friendly and effective. 5 stars for the pub. Accomodation: Clean and basic, however I feel we were overcharged (£79) the bathroom was a shower room with a very small shower that was broken at the base, we stayed in number 2 and we could... We pulled up to what can be described as a fantastic country pub as we walked through the door we were greeted by a very friendly Young lady who was extremely helpful considering we hadn't booked a table This unfortunately is where it all went wrong for myself and my party and soon as we sat down we were bombarded... Booked a table for six on a Saturday evening in the old tap room (left hand side of the pub). We had a few drinks at the bar, which was nice and atmospheric on a dark wintery night, seated just around the corner (watch the low beam) we all ordered starter and main. The menu caters to all taste and... More

Booked a table here for Sunday lunch. We arrived an hour early having got our timing for the day wrong. We were made most welcome and a table was found for us. The menu was varied and there was something for everyone within our group. The food was of a very high standard, and was delicious. The plates all went... More

My evening meal was absolutely top notch. Breakfast doesn't start until 8am which is too late for a business guest in my opinion. I had to be in Swindon by 830 so had to skip breakfast. The room itself was pleasant enough, although the bulb in the shaving light was not working. The Inn is in a mobile black-hole for... More

Charming pub, great beer, good food menu. Stayed here after being in Newbury for day. Easy to find loads of parking, Wifi, great running routes. The room was clean and tidy with its own shower room. It was at the back of the pub with its own entrance which was ideal becuase I could come and go as I wanted.... More

We booked a table for 3 a few days ago and arrived today to find a nice looking pub restuararant from the outside. We stood at the bar for at least 5 - 10 mins whilst the staff rushed back and forth. Even once a member of staff did appear it wasn't a Oh hello how are you, they seemed very... More

The Bull has a real old pub feel to it. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. We were there for a pleasant dinner with friends and to spend the evening. We never felt rushed and we had a great night. Superb beer as well! We did not use the rooms so no opinion offered

This is a brilliant pub. Not only is the decor modern yet traditional, the staff are friendly, free wifi, dog (and goat) friendly and the food is brilliant! Not to mention pretty ample parking! If you don't fancy a full on meal then you can always have bar snack hot or cold at reasonable prices. I really recommend the dinner... More

Arrived to what appeared a charming and busy pub, parked the car and then started to wish I had paid heed to the negative reviews on Tripadvisor. I foolishly thought people were being vastly oversensitive about the level of cleanliness and the poxy cockerel but it was sadly all accurate. The pub was busy, granted, so I failed to get... More
