Mixed experience here Trying to be as objective as possible here but also basing review on my experience in isolation. Good things first – wonderful location and fantastic views from well-appointed garden with decking, picnic tables and helicopter landing pad! Food was excellent and an attraction in itself. Restaurant was pleasant and unassuming. Bar area had character. Selection of malt... More

I’ve been once more to this Real Gem - the Isle of Coll Hotel And yet again in every sense, they did it all so well! The food was absolutely great - as many have reported And much of it was locally sourced - little was imported! The seafood is my favourite - but I did try other things (Even... More

Generally the accommodation was good. The main carpets are getting a bit faded, but otherwise the decor is fine. The room was clean and well equipped, and all the equipment worked, but no face flannel was provided. The Wi-Fi was very limited, and it was rather hit and miss as to whether you got connected and stayed connected. Food was... More

Coll is a very attractive and quite wealthy-looking island. The hotel is in a gorgeous location overlooking one of the nicest villages in the Hebrides.Beautifully kept gardens and building...nice atmospheric bar and 'snug'.We had coffee once and dined twice - the first time, when hardly a seat could be got, it is such a popular place and for good reason. So get... Great place to stay. Excellent service, serving staff very friendly, rooms excellent, great location. Good bar with a good beer (Jarl). Breakfast fresh and worth the money. The bikes that they have are free and good for getting about. Boule on the lawn is good. They were helpful to our son who has restricted diet due to allergy issues. The... More

Thank you for your review. We are so glad you had a great time with us. The majority of what comes out of our kitchen is cooked to order, so adjusting a dish to suit a dietry requirement is not a problem at all and makes such a difference to our guests experience. More

Quality, value, hospitality, quiet efficiency, culture, this is where you can appreciate all of these and more and also get a feel of island life. The food, especially the seafood, is outstanding. We arrived by sail and took a visitors' mooring but the Cal Mac ferry calls most days. The place is busy, the bars are small (but they have... More

We didn't stay here but We ate a couple of times- once for lunch with the most lovely crab and lobster sandwiches. The langoustines I had for dinner were the best I've eaten for years- fresh food counts... Thank you so much.
