Very warm welcome from Julie & Kevin. Cozy family room and well-equipped resident's snug with good stock of books and games for those occasional wet days on the West Coast! Excellent food & exemplary service from universally friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble & kids very well looked after at meal times and with a constant flow of hot... More

Whilst I was staying with a friend and not at the hotel, we did eat there 3 evenings in a row. The welcome was warm and friendly, the setting was superb, and the food was simply divine. Very reasonable prices and a quick service. The staff could not be more helpful, which added to a must return soon experience. Highly... More

Fabulous food and great views, obviously a hub of island life, could wish that hotel had a 'snuggery' where residents could retreat with a book when the weather is as foul as it was when \i was there!

Fantastic food. The scallops and fish & chips are worth the travelling distance alone...

Great hotel, great position and great food & booze. Having said that, given the monopoly situation on the Island, I guess they could have been greedier with prices than they are.

it is hard to rank hotels on remote islands with little choice as to where to stay. This is the only hotel and has a location to die for as was the view from our room which was spacious and well furnished. The food was good , served in either bar or restaurant . Service was adequate I suppose although... More

We are sorry that the bar kept you awake. As regulars will know, the bar always closes on time. 12 midnight with 15 minutes to drink up. It can be lively until then at the busiest times of the season. We are never open later. After asking some questions, it turns out there was a party in the village that... More

This is a very welcoming small hotel in a tiny settlement on a tiny island. It's perfect if you're keen on a 'nothing touristy' experience. Although it thoroughly deserves the multiple awards it has received for it's hospitality, and although the breakfasts are fantastic (as well as healthy, an unusual combination) it really doesn't deserve it's 2010 award for 'best... I am sorry you were unhappy with your meals with us. I will keep a close eye on the dishes being served as oily food is not generally what we serve, although fish & chips is still a firm favorite with some. As we say in ever menu, all dishes are cooked to order & can be adjusted to suit... More
