We visited Coll for a week, and popped in to this hotel several times, for coffee, for drinks and for food, although we didn't stay here. The lounge bar was cozy and welcoming, whether for coffee and shortbread or for a pint and a bite to eat. The food was delicious, locally-sourced and well priced. The crab spaghetti was spicy... Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us. We are so glad you enjoyed our hospitality, food and beer. Even in the depths of winter when many small island hotels decide to close their doors, we still try to give all our customers a real taste of Coll. I am sorry that a moment... More

My first trip to Coll and picked the hotel as it had everything I needed in one spot. When booking I mentioned I was vegan and pleased to get a confident "that's fine" response that was very reassuring. The welcome was warm and room good (although en suite a little cramped). The food was excellent - possibly the best I've... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us. I am so glad you appreciated the vegan menu. It is aways by arrangement so we can offer choices on all courses. There is always a vegan dish on our regular menu but a choices is alway nice when dining out no matter what your dietary... More

We had a gorgeous meal here during our half term stay on the island. This is the third time we have eaten in the hotel, although we don't stay here, and the food has always been stunning! The crab claws were immense and so tasty, and the salt and pepper squid just lovely. The children's food was great, and the... More

We went for a quick lunch with the kids. Well out of season so we were the only ones for most of lunchtime. Very friendly barman sorted us out quickly and efficiently. We had kids pasta and grownups mussels and cajun burger. All delicious. Not the cheapest place on the West Coast but always open, always friendly and always high... More

We were here for a weekend's star-gazing course towards the end of October 2014 (Coll is an ideal venue, as the island has been awarded Dark Sky Community status by the International Dark Sky Association). The hotel was very comfortable - we were in room 2, which is large and has an fine view out over the bay to Mull... More

Having stayed at Coll Hotel for September weekend 2013 and been really impressed we decided we would make it an annual visit, however...... We went as foot passengers last year, were provided with bikes by the hotel but this year we decided to take the motorbike with us and see the rest of the Island. Our arrival, check in went... More

Smoking in our hotel and bedrooms is totally unacceptable. Lauren and Margaret spent 2 days laundering all the soft furnishings including the curtain. Kevin spent the best part of the evening shampooing the carpets. It was 4 days before the room could be used. Arriving guests had to use our smaller room. This guest was extremely rude, did not recognise... More

We have not stayed in the hotel, but have dined there on three occasions week commencing 5th October 2014. The menu was varied and changed regularly. The seafood was particularly delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the lounge was warm and cosy with the coal fire blazing away. We certainly hope to return

Mixed experience here Trying to be as objective as possible here but also basing review on my experience in isolation. Good things first – wonderful location and fantastic views from well-appointed garden with decking, picnic tables and helicopter landing pad! Food was excellent and an attraction in itself. Restaurant was pleasant and unassuming. Bar area had character. Selection of malt... More

Thank you for your review. Yes, room 3 is a small room without a view as discussed in great detail when this guest decided to go ahead and book. It was our last available room in what has been an exceptionally busy summer. Room 3 does have a great power shower and a super comfy double bed, but agreed, it... More

I’ve been once more to this Real Gem - the Isle of Coll Hotel And yet again in every sense, they did it all so well!
