Staying two nights late March, we have had an absolutely fab stay in the Isle of Coll Hotel. We were picked up from the ferry terminal by the hotel's manager. Lovely and personal touch saving us a little hike. We have stayed in room 6 which has superb views across the bay. The first night we ate our dinner in... More

This perfectly located hotel has to cater for the local population needs and the visitor's needs which aren't always going to be the same. The building almost segregated the two functions in its layout, but with enough overlap to make both visitor and local feel comfortable. We had a wonderful two nights D. B. & B.here, greatly helped by sunny... More

You don't need a specific reason to visit Coll but if you did they are plentiful. The birthplace of Katie Morag, splendid beaches, island scenery are all great but the gem of the island is the hotel, specifically the menu. The extremely talented chef makes this, in my opinion, the best place to eat on the west coast of Scotland.... More

We were a group of nine, and we were met at the ferry with a warm welcome. The hotel is family run, the food is excellent, particularly the local seafood, the rooms good especially number 2 with the enormous, special bath with sea view! The coal fire was always well ablaze in the bar, the locals were very welcoming and... More

I was back on Coll for a few days with work. I didn't stay at the hotel this time, but dropped in on spec to get something to eat. I asked for a vegan meal and the chef came up with a selection of choices, which was pleasing to see. I opted for bruschetta followed by mushroom risotto. Both were... More

We visited Coll for a week, and popped in to this hotel several times, for coffee, for drinks and for food, although we didn't stay here. The lounge bar was cozy and welcoming, whether for coffee and shortbread or for a pint and a bite to eat. The food was delicious, locally-sourced and well priced. The crab spaghetti was spicy... Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us. We are so glad you enjoyed our hospitality, food and beer. Even in the depths of winter when many small island hotels decide to close their doors, we still try to give all our customers a real taste of Coll. I am sorry that a moment... More

My first trip to Coll and picked the hotel as it had everything I needed in one spot. When booking I mentioned I was vegan and pleased to get a confident "that's fine" response that was very reassuring. The welcome was warm and room good (although en suite a little cramped). The food was excellent - possibly the best I've... More

We had a gorgeous meal here during our half term stay on the island. This is the third time we have eaten in the hotel, although we don't stay here, and the food has always been stunning! The crab claws were immense and so tasty, and the salt and pepper squid just lovely. The children's food was great, and the... More
