Stayed two nights here in the middle of the recent heatwave and were delighted with the welcome in this small hotel. We had three of the small rooms as the larger ones were already booked. Although they are small there is everything you require including an extremely comfortable bed and two good bedside reading lights which made reading in bed... More

A bit old fashioned, could do with some T L C and a good few air freshners put in all the rooms. Rooms are small, shower is tiny. However Great choice of dinner menu and food was good. Breakfast was average. Was a little disapointed overall....

The accommodation chosen by the reviewer was in the rooms described as 'small (not tiny) double or twin' . The size is dictated by the price one wishes to pay. How can she say that 'a good few air fresheners put in all the rooms'. They only used 2 rooms. It is unfortunate that she found the shower tiny. Not... More

I only stayed for one night but I was really impressed by this hotel. Alan and Isobel made me feel very welcome, in ways that you rarely see in hotels these days - even small ones; simple things like the personal touch of showing me around my room. The rooms are a decent size and very comfortable with all the... More

Not my taste for accommodation - a bit basic for me ! The whole place is "quaint" and those large sofas are mathmatically positioned in the lounge area - Got a bit of a feel about a the guesthouses I stayed at way back in the 80s especially the "bar" and dining room. But credit to the FOOD it was... More

Having dined in The Restaurant the previous night, we booked in to this hotel to experience "the whole package" . We certainly weren't disappointed! The welcome received from Allan couldn't have been warmer - he even escorted us to our lovely big comfortable bedroom. Our meal was superb just like the night before. The menu leaves one spoilt for choice,... More

We stayed at the Orasay Inn for two nights. The location is tremendous with some wonderful views. Unfortunately not from our bedroom though. However, the room was clean and well-appointed with the most comfortable bed we slept in on our tour of the Hebrides. The food was excellent, both at breakfast and dinner, with great views from the restaurant being... More

For such a remote location it is suprising that there is any type of hotel here at all, this is my 3rd visit here in as many years when I have to stay overnight while working at the Salmon factory down the road. I have'nt seen the de-luxe room but the basic ones are perectly fine for the business visitor,... More

We spent two nights here. My friend was in a single room that she was very happy with & we had one of the de-luxe rooms. The bed was huge & the deck was great as the weather was lovely. Views are gorgeous & the night sky was spectacular due to the lack of light pollution. We had dinner on... More

Firstly, I think the people who have levelled criticisms of this hotel should appreciate this is a different world, the Outer Hebrides and not akin to city life (and all the better for that); or city standards. How pathetic (desperate?) to moan about potholes in the approach/driveway! That said, accommodation is clean and comfortable and backed by a warm and... More

My husband and I took a few days away to the Uists at the start of October 2013, and we got caught in some major weather. High winds, sheeting rain, and even hail at points. As motorcyclists, we have often found that a vacancy sign has suddenly been reversed as we turn round, but in this case we were very... More
