We have just returned from a short trip to the Outer Hebrides. We stayed at the Orasay Inn where we were made comfortable and welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was delicious and plentiful. Alan and Isobel - the owners are very accessible, which was an amazing achievement given the time of year. All the staff -... Can't find anything to fault on Orasay Inn. Large breakfasts, great dinners, nice room with the most idyllic view. No problem at all with our two dogs, plenty of good advice by the owners, absolute silent even during the day when we had to recover some sleep. We NEED go back. One suggestion, get guests to pay a nominal fee... More

We stayed in a lot of very good hotels during our 2 week tour of the Highlands and the Outer Hebridees and the food here was probably the best we had.Very good quality and generous portions. The girls serving in the restaurant were very friendly and efficient. We paid extra for a superior room which was spacious with lovely views... More

Once again we appreciate the comments on food and staff. However we feel that the comments on the room are unfair. No mention that the room included a sofa, a table and 2 chairs and french doors to a private decked area, with seating and as mentioned, lovely views. Did any of the other hotels have that? Possibly the weather... More

Can't fault the staff and owners for friendliness and the food was good but the fabric and appearance of this place was nowhere near as good as any of the other places we stayed in over the week and yet it was the most expensive. The whole place needs a make over. Quite the most shabby bathroom of any place... More

Trudy L is right re the toilet and the TV. I did draw these to her attention and apologised. The toilet was only 3 years old and we have had 3 syphons for the cistern since we got it. a few months after fitting the cistern starts a constant trickle and requires replacement parts. Last month the seat developed small... More

Was recommended this little beauty for a meal and we booked and was not disappointed, the food was first class, the staff friendly and all topped off with being in a beautiful location with lovely views.

Stayed here for two nights on our outer Hebridean trip. Can't fault island hospitality. Both Isobel and Alan were very hands on with a welcome and giving advice about where to walk (pity none of us could foresee the weather!), and both girls working in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast were just lovely. Really made me proud to be... More

A great reception, with helpful staff making your visit most pleasant. A super meal, so good that my wife removed some of the contents on my plate before I could photograph it. Great company, a relaxed atmosphere and just a very good time. And if you have a motorhome, your hosts will be pleased to try and facilitate a pitch... More

Very nice B&B, room was spotless, fluffy towels and we were given a very warm welcome. Excellent value for money, great location for our cycling, just a mile from the main road. Food was outstanding as was the friendly service. Highly recommend

Warm and cosy room on a windswept rainy day! Room comfortable and very clean, bathroom really nice with a great shower! - also very clean. Food excellent on the evening menu - waitress was also very pleasant. Breakfast was FANTASTIC - really generous and two of everything and I didn't even go for the full breakfast, but I was certainly... More

The location is ok, but there are no tourist attractions of great merit in the area. The hotel is comfortable, staff welcoming and the meals good with plenty of choice. If you need to say in the area, go for it. You won't be disappointed.
