Great holiday cottage and always a warm welcome from the owners. We can heartily recommend using either of the cottages as your holiday base, as our return each year for the past 14 years would indicate. A wonderful quiet relaxing environment.

We made initial enquiries for Penbroath Mowhay back in July 2012 following getting engaged. We were attracted to the cottage as the website stated that it came with a pool. As it was to be our honeymoon we decided to forego the extra expense for the hire as it came with a pool. We booked it for July 2013 and... More

Stayed in Penbroath Cottage in what turned out to be an ideal location for travelling around West Cornwall. I'd really like to have awarded the place 5 stars but for a few minor problems. Let's start with the Positive side: Firstly the owners: Very friendly and available but only if you need them. We were celebrating our ruby anniversary and... More

We spent a week here and had a great time. The cottage was extremely comfortable and is in a perfect location from which to explore gardens, coastal walks, English Heritage sites, grand houses and some of Cornwall's fantastic World Heritage sites. What more could you need for a relaxing holiday??

Fairly disappointed with this cottage. The location meant we could get to many areas of the coast which suited our purpose and the general feeling was light and airy. It could easily have been very good but for some notable shortcomings. I agree with a previous reviewer that a deep clean would be appropriate. It was also very irritating to... More

We had feelings about our stay at Penbroath Cottage. First the positives: The cottage itself looks idylic and is nicely decorated throughout. The owners leave you in peace but are approachable and friendly should you need advice/help with anything. Provided you have travelled in a car, this location is perfect for exploring this part of Cornwall as it's close to... More

Penbroath Mowhay is a beautiful converted hay barn in a peaceful idyllic location perfectly situated for both coasts and easy access to all of West Cornwall. The accommodation itself is lovingly decorated, very comfortable with large windows and gorgeous light, morning and evening and has a small well appointed verdant private garden. The bedroom is downstairs and living area on... More

We stayed in Penbroath Cottage. Excellent location for exploring Southern tip of Cornwall. Cottage very large and spacious with underfloor heating. Kitchen very well equipped, there were even some dishwasher tablets! They have a washing machine on site too if you're having a longer stay. Bed absolutely beautiful and comfy, but very squeaky and foot-board might be a problem if... More
