Fantastic facilities, brilliant hosts, wonderful breakfasts and stunning location with beautiful views over the Moray Firth. A fleeting visit on a tight schedule and we only wish we could have stayed longer .... but we will return! Alasdair and Deidre made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and could not have been more helpful in every respect.... More

This is the first time we have received a "very good" rather than "excellent", so that is disappointing because we try very hard to please everyone. We are sorry this reviewer found difficulty finding us. We are in the country, but only 7 miles, (a ten minute car journey), from the city centre, Our geographic co-ordinates are on our web... More

From the beginning to the end we were lovingly cared for by Deirdre as from a mother. From Alistair we were provided with daily updated weather-dependent sight seeing information and all the trips were great, we were so thankful! The delicious and extensive Highland breakfast is compiled to personal taste. The rooms are great and the bathroom even better, the... More

Old Drynie House is the most incredible B&B that I have ever stayed at. The views and gardens are wonderful but the rooms, service and owners are every bit as fabulous. I would recommend it to anyone who is staying in the Highlands. It's worth travelling from miles away to stay at.

Most charming place where I have ever been. If you choose this accommodation, you can become a member of this very kind Scottish family for this time. Deirdre and Alasdair made a fabulous garden around this charming house with huge trees, large green spaces and flowers! The service is just great including cleaning, comfort, kindness!, breakfast, tourist information, and lots... More

The title says it all. We were stuck without accommodation in Inverness and were directed to Old Drynie by the tourist board. Deirdre and Alistair were wonderful informative hosts, the setting is beautiful and the rooms are very special. They directed us to Applecross which one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland. A bit more difficult to find... More

I was so sad to leave after our 3 day stay Everything about Old Drynie House was fantastic. In a magical setting with loads of places to walk to -fantastic woodland garden - so close to Inverness and yet tucked away in a rural settting on the Black Isle.. Deirdre and Alaster were the best of hosts and made us... More

Dreidre and Alasdair are such a wonderful couple, and we tremendously enjoyed our 3-night stay with them. They have a beautiful house and the rooms that we stayed in were great. Situated in a beatiful setting in a forest only 10 minutes' drive from Inverness - their home is a perfect base for touring the highlands. Dreidre made us excellent... More

Drynie house exceeded our expectations. It is set in lovely grounds, which are beautifully maintained. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hosts Alasdair and Deirdre are so helpful and friendly, they went out of their way to accommodate us. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and would have no hesitation in recommending Old Drynie house to anyone.

The first time I visited this property was with my husband and a friend as we were traveling across Scotland from Aberdeen to Ullapool. We decided to stop in Inverness to have a look around and our friend really wanted to have the B&B experience. While I am usually much more of a boutique hotel type of girl, I thought... More
