Like almost all other reviews (we cant imagine how this would get less than five stars based on our experience!) for this B&B we have nothing but praise for the proprietors, Alasdair and Deirdre. The welcome and service we received, the beautiful gardens and surrounds, cleanliness and room decor all help create a wonderful experience. Unfortunately only able to stay... More

Deirdre and Alasdair charming and most helpful. It was an absolute pleasure to stay in their beautiful home. The grounds were beautiful and it was great for walking around the area. Not far to travel to local places after a wonderful local breakfast.

Together with my partner we spent 6 nights at Old Drynie while exploring the Highlands as part of our Summer holiday. We received a warm welcome when we first arrived and a welcome cup of tea. Our en-suite bedroom was very comfortable and we spent the first evening walking around the extensive grounds and 'drinking in' the superb views of... More

If you want beautiful gardens, a gorgeous B&B and simply the best service you will ever get. This is the place. Its location on the Black Isle allows you easy access to Inverness, Loch Ness and the west coast. Despite the rural location its only a taxi ride from Inverness town centre. (Try Hootananny for live Scots music) Alexander and... More

Deirdre and Alasdair are fantastic hosts and very helpful with great local knowledge (and they cook a very tasty breakfast!). The house is beautiful and set in a breathtaking location. My partner and I had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

It's hard to know where to begin with the superlatives. The house and location are stunning with beautiful gardens and meticulous attention to detail. Our hosts, Alasdair and Deirdre are charming, doing everything within their power to make your stay enjoyable. They are knowledgeable at both the local and national level and eager to engage with you. They are also... More

We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience with Alasdair and Deirdre at Old Drynie House. We were travelling with our 22-month old and my brother-in-law, and were lucky enough to book the family suite. The two large rooms adjoined and one had an ensuite with a shower and huge jet tub, not to mention the most beautiful views!... More

This has been the feeling of our stay at the Old Drynie House...unfortunately a too short stay! The family room is fantastic, a flat inside the house, with a very big bathroom and a magnificent view of the garden. Breakfast is excellent and rich, Deidre and Alasdair are wonderful hosts, always helpful and friendly.

I recommend Old Drynie with great enthusiasm. We were in Scotland for 16 days, with 5 days at Old Drynie House. This B&B is conveniently located on the Black Isle (just a few miles miles from Inverness), sparkling clean, full of homey comforts, quiet, and surrounded by lovely gardens and meadows. If we can manage another trip to Scotland, we... More
