We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience with Alasdair and Deirdre at Old Drynie House. We were travelling with our 22-month old and my brother-in-law, and were lucky enough to book the family suite. The two large rooms adjoined and one had an ensuite with a shower and huge jet tub, not to mention the most beautiful views!... More

This has been the feeling of our stay at the Old Drynie House...unfortunately a too short stay! The family room is fantastic, a flat inside the house, with a very big bathroom and a magnificent view of the garden. Breakfast is excellent and rich, Deidre and Alasdair are wonderful hosts, always helpful and friendly.

I recommend Old Drynie with great enthusiasm. We were in Scotland for 16 days, with 5 days at Old Drynie House. This B&B is conveniently located on the Black Isle (just a few miles miles from Inverness), sparkling clean, full of homey comforts, quiet, and surrounded by lovely gardens and meadows. If we can manage another trip to Scotland, we... More

Fantastic facilities, brilliant hosts, wonderful breakfasts and stunning location with beautiful views over the Moray Firth. A fleeting visit on a tight schedule and we only wish we could have stayed longer .... but we will return! Alasdair and Deidre made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and could not have been more helpful in every respect.... More

This is the first time we have received a "very good" rather than "excellent", so that is disappointing because we try very hard to please everyone. We are sorry this reviewer found difficulty finding us. We are in the country, but only 7 miles, (a ten minute car journey), from the city centre, Our geographic co-ordinates are on our web... More

From the beginning to the end we were lovingly cared for by Deirdre as from a mother. From Alistair we were provided with daily updated weather-dependent sight seeing information and all the trips were great, we were so thankful! The delicious and extensive Highland breakfast is compiled to personal taste. The rooms are great and the bathroom even better, the... More

Old Drynie House is the most incredible B&B that I have ever stayed at. The views and gardens are wonderful but the rooms, service and owners are every bit as fabulous. I would recommend it to anyone who is staying in the Highlands. It's worth travelling from miles away to stay at.

Most charming place where I have ever been. If you choose this accommodation, you can become a member of this very kind Scottish family for this time. Deirdre and Alasdair made a fabulous garden around this charming house with huge trees, large green spaces and flowers! The service is just great including cleaning, comfort, kindness!, breakfast, tourist information, and lots... More

The title says it all. We were stuck without accommodation in Inverness and were directed to Old Drynie by the tourist board. Deirdre and Alistair were wonderful informative hosts, the setting is beautiful and the rooms are very special. They directed us to Applecross which one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland. A bit more difficult to find... More

I was so sad to leave after our 3 day stay Everything about Old Drynie House was fantastic. In a magical setting with loads of places to walk to -fantastic woodland garden - so close to Inverness and yet tucked away in a rural settting on the Black Isle.. Deirdre and Alaster were the best of hosts and made us... More
