Stayed here for 2 lovely nights - what a great place! Set in the most beautiful gardens with a fantastic labyrinth to walk in, especially early morning when all the beautiful birds are out. We stayed in room 2, which is comfortable, with a decent bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities and a comfortable bed (surrounded by a mozzie net). Unfortunately, there... More

Superb food and the owner and staff went out of their way to make our stop-over a memorable one. We felt so close to nature sitting on the deck watching the birds in the tree tops. Will definitely call again.

Staying here on the way to Kruger - was a fabulous stop off - luxurious without being over the top - friendly and welcoming - excellent food with attentive owners and other staff - lovely rooms which are homely and practical but so nicely decorated.

You will arrive as strangers and leave as friends and part of the extended Old Joe's family. Our first stay was so superb and we were made to feel so at home, that we went back with our grown up kids the next year for Christmas and even spent a weekend over valentine's day after they notified us of a... We must have driven past this place a hundred times over tha past many years, at the speed limit, and always commented that one day we must stop and give it a try. Well, today was the day, even though it took us a good km to make up our mind and slow down. But we turn around and what... More

Was doing a canoe race in the area and took the whole family for the long weekend. We felt like part of the Old Joe's family within hours, they knew all our names, sorted out kids' dinner times and accommodated all my canoeing needs as well (including a post race massage). Our family unit (rooms 5 & 6) worked very... More

Loved it!! Marian and her team really exceeded our expectations! Warm, South African welcome, genuine people and a gorgeous setting! The log-cabin was clean, tastefully decorated in Marian's arty style, with everything you need. Dinner and breakfast was divine to say the least with a good selection of wines and drinks! We would definitely recommend you try this place if... More

Back again and not disappointed!! The ambiance, the food & service and very reasonable drinks / wine prices make this a must stay when visiting the Nelspruit area. Marian & Paul make you feel right at home, seeing to your every wish. The rooms are comfortable with even filter coffee in the room. Will be back....
