We didn't think anywhere as special as this existed in the UK. Astoundingly good . Amazing dining experience , the food, the ambience , the service were all faultless. We had only booked one night and stayed in one of the shieling lodges separate to the main hotel. Absolutely wonderful accomodation and the setting is achingly beautiful. Worth every single... More

We stayed here to celebrate our 1st Wedding Anniversary and could not have picked a better venue to do so. From the minute we arrived until we sadly left we had a fabulous time in one of the Shieling Lodges which are individual ''rooms'' which would put many a 5 star hotel bedroom to shame set in the hotel grounds.... Praise where it is not only due but most certainly deserved.......the attention of all the staff to detail and our personal requirements was outstanding. The superior suite lived up to its description and more. It put to shame many five star hotels I have stayed at. It was large airy, well heated when required and superbly equipped from the bed,... From the moment we arrived until the moment we left everything............and I mean everything was above and beyond anything we have experienced in any other hotel we have stayed in and that includes a few so called 5* establishments. From the moment we were welcomed into the hotel by James and Rodney it was obvious that this was service with... More

We can only echo and add our voice to the existing reviews of this stunning hotel. In fact this is less of a hotel and more of an experience. From the minute we set foot in the door James and the rest of the staff made this place feel special, their attention to detail, respectful friendliness and thoughtfulness are an... More

We stayed for 2 nights in May, the food is fantastic and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. We had a room in the main hotel with stunning views - thistle room. Definitely recommended - we will be going there again.

First visit since the new owners took over. Overall nice ambience and great food.Views are still stunning. Recommend the taster menu, truly excellent.I will be intrigued to see how the designer re-branding goes, Especially enjoyed the personal attention from James and the team.

Likely to be our first visit of many. Where to start? The food! Innovative ideas that wouldn't be out of place in a michelin starred restaurant, beautifully presented dishes such as salmon in beetroot, cauliflower that looks like a work of art and an epic pork main dish.(not often that beetroot , cauliflower and epic are in the same sentence!)... This was our first visit under the new ownership, although we have stayed many times previously. I know people say you should never go back because things cannot be the same, and things are different, but in a good way.James and his colleages are working very hard, and nothing is too much trouble. I know this hotel is at the... More

This was our fourth trip to the Ardeoniag Hotel, and without a shadow of a doubt, the best. As it was both our first wedding anniversary and my Birthday it was always going to be special, but the staff at the Ardeonaig added the finishing touches to some superb memories. The hotel has recently changed hands, seeing a previous employee... More
