Our recent stay at Casa Linda was the perfect introduction to the food and folk art of Oaxaca on our weeklong trip there in February. Linda Hanna, the charming and accommodating owner, picked us up at the airport, which we greatly appreciated after traveling all day. Many reviewers have spoken of Linda's folk art-filled home and lush garden, but it... More

Its been 2 years since we stayed at Linda's and i have never written a review on TA before, but i found myself reminiscing about this wonderful place and lady the other day and had to share what a unique and special experience it is to stay with her. Incredible gardens, and house, crammed with amazing folk art, and of... More

I recently spent a week (21-28 Dec) at Casa Linda with my 87-year-old mother and we both had the time of our lives. Linda's place is inviting, beautifully decorated with folk art (the pictures don't do it justice) and comfy. Linda and her friend Sam cooked us delicious breakfasts and dinners, including a full-on Christmas feast, and made us feel... More

We met Linda Hanna, highly recommended by so many in Oaxaca, and proceeded on an unbelievably rich one day tour of villages, down to Mitla and back. Clearly, Linda is an integral part of the cultura of Oaxaca, and she interacted with respect and affection at each place we stopped. What a joy to watch the artists at work, to... More

Linda's home and garden are an exquisite collection of Oaxacan folk arts.We arrived very jet lagged from Australia late at night and Linda picked us up at the airport and took us straight to an incredible fiesta in her local village. Linda patiently worked with us to design arts focused trips that accommodated our personalities and specific arts tastes. We... More

Dia de los Muertos in Oaxaca Linda is a very welcoming host, and her place is absolutely beautiful. Oaxacan folk art covers the walls & every surface of her home; the garden is lush & peaceful; & we found the bed, bedroom & bathroom really comfortable, with everything we needed. Also, Linda’s dogs made us feel very much at home.... More

If you lean towards the arts, you will be in paradise chez Linda. I travelled together with two friends, and we spent five days here, after having stayed in Oaxaca for a week during the Day of the Dead celebrations. We found the countrified setting of Linda's house wonderfuly peacefull after the carnival atmosphere of Oaxaca. She is a truly... More

My wife and I arrived on a Thursday prior to the principal days for The Day of the Dead celebration in Oaxaca. Our hostess, Linda, picked us up from the airport and took her to her house which is also a true homage to Oaxacan folk art. A home which is a museum with so many wonderful pieces of the... More

I've been living in Mexico for over a year, and the day Linda took me and two of my friends to visit local villages was one of the best and most culturally illuminating. We explored three small artisanal villages, and Linda introduced us to the local artisan families who create clay figurines, textiles (backstrap looming), wood carving (alebrijes), and the... More

I am just back from eleven nights at Casa Linda. I stayed in the Casita off to myself. I really enjoyed the private quiet time since my life is generally very busy. The purpose of my trip was to replace several rugs that had been water-damaged as well as to purchase some drapes and tablecloths. Linda's help was so valuable.... More
