I stayed last week at Casa Linda in the private bungalow and the experience was fantastic. The gardens are amazing—full of ceramics from the local artisans. Breakfast was tasty— lots of fruit, pan de chocolate, and mole negro tamales. But the main attraction is Linda who has a rich knowledge of the local artists in the area and is generous... More

I'm a return visitor to Casa Linda and it's only become more wonderful. The main house and grounds are beautiful, and now there's a lovely bungalow with bath offering a private and serene retreat in the trees behind the main house (I stayed in the bungalow and loved it.) Birds singing, mountains in the distance, fresh air wafting through the... More

I chose Casa Linda because I wanted a place away from the hustle and bustle of Oaxaca. Perfect choice; I didn't want to leave. The main house is full of whimsical folk art, the kitchen and lounge area are homey and soothing (as is Linda's hospitality). There is a meditation area/chapel on the grounds, and I loved my private casita... More

Do yourself a favor and stay here, if at least for part of your trip if not all, away from the hustle and bustle of Oaxaca City. Just a 15-minute ride to the city, Casa Linda is calm, refreshing, and restful. Each room is cozy and comfortable, filled with great art. The large house itself a veritable folk art museum,... More

We didn't stay at Casa Linda, but we used her as our guide for a great full day of sightseeing. Linda started the day by bringing us to her house for a Sunday breakfast of tamales. The house is astounding in its collection of Oaxacan art and crafts, more like a fine gallery than a home, but also comfortable and... More

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Casa Linda! Linda is a lovely, knowledgable host and her house is full of fascinating folk art from Oaxaca and the artisans she knows so well. Her house, and gardens with the view of the mountains are just magical, so many things to discover around each corner. Each room is tastefully decorated,... More

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Lindas - an artistic experience in itself with all the folk art throughout the house. A highlight was being taken to visit Oaxaca's artists both living and deceased - the print workshop of Enrique Flores, the museum of Rodolfo Morales as well as insights into other artisans working traditionally in the area. Highly... More

Full disclosure-I do not like guided tours. I was talked into a half-day tour with Linda Hanna, and I even tried to back out but didn't want to let friends down. Well, it was fantastic! She listened to our interests and crafted an on the spot tour of well-known painters' work and higlights of other art media that knocked my... More

Casa Linda is a great place from which to explore Oaxaca and its surroundings. Linda is such a great guide and hostess - attentive without being intrusive - you will see so much more through her than you would do on your own. We stayed 3 nights, and she took us for a day tour (definitely recommended) to a variety... More

This place is a good stop for anyone who wants to explore Oaxaca and then have a peaceful place to recharge. Linda is wonderful in so many ways. She knows just the artists and artisans to take you as she is the collector of folk arts. I was only going to stay for one night, but ended up staying for... More
