Very friendly, calming and cozy atmosphere. Rooms are large, clean and quiet. We slept with the window open and it was just wonderful. Bathroom is from the 70ies and definitely should have an upgrade to today's standard, but it has everything you need. The bar and restaurant are cozy and traditional. Small, comfortable seating groups here and there. Friendly, helpful... More

THIS IS NOT A FULL HOTEL REVIEW AS WE ONLY STOPPED FOR LUNCH. But the building is amazing, we had a great service, the food was like a home cooked meal. We even managed few decent bottles of white wine. We went around the place and enjoyed the nice and warm lounges. There was free WiFi even for passers by... More

While we only stopped for dinner at this remote and isolated gemstone on our way from the majestic fjords we quickly realised this is a place with a trip itself. Fabulous food in a rustic and warm environment staffed by service minded people. If the hotel is half as good as the restaurant it will be great.

The landscapes around the hotel are very unique and special. The hotel is offering a very friendly atmosphere in the restaurant, lobby and other meeting rooms, library room, etc. The hotel personnel are very polite and the food is excellent. We have had a buffet dinner; it was tasty, with great choice of different meals. The price of the buffet... More

The hotel is just off the main road in the middle of a skiing resort, and you think you are somewhere in the Alps. When you enter all is in wood and you even have a nice real fire warming you. The dinner is a buffet, which has a lot to choose from and the wine menu is huge. The... More

My husband and me fulfilled my dream to visit Norway and its fjords. I booked this hotel because it was exactly on our way in our trip. We were very lucky to have the area covered with snow. it was not cold but it was so majestic. The hotel is located very good, i think it is about 15 -20... More

The first impression when I got into the reception and restaurant was.."WOW". I've never seen such a beautiful ground floor in my life. It seemed like the owner paid quite careful attention to the interior. It's worth to buy wine or beer and have chitchat with family or friends. I stayed in a single bedroom and it had a heater... On arrival, don't be put off by the Wuthering Heights (or Jamaica Inn) appearance: this is a place with history. All the public rooms are very cosy and interesting, and littered with family photos and even photo albums! Food was very good and really nice breakfast. Waitress happy to do a deal for a smaller evening meal (sharing a bit... More
