If you like simplicity, rustic style and removed location - this is perfect. My husband and I enjoyed our brief stop here. We weren't expecting 5* accommodation so wasn't disappointed that there wasn't any wifi or TVs but instead a beautiful stream and waterfall outside!!! Bathrooms were clean but in need of updating. Main thing the rooms were clean !!!... More

We have stayed in this hotel for 2 nights 22-24 of July! We were aware that the check in should by before 11 pm so we were there on time!!!!What we had no information what so ever is that the hotel is locking the doors after 11 for all the guests!!So the next day we arrived 15 min after 11... More

We stayed at this place on the nights of 22-23 of July. Be warned : At 11 p.m. the owners lock all the doors so no one can get in. On the 2nd night there we returned at 11.15 p.m. to the hotel after a long day in Geiranger. Everything was locked so we rung a bell which was outside.... More

The hotel is situated by the main road, very nice surroundings. The main building is from 1898 and looks charming. Indoors are many old things to look at. Our room was in the "new " bulding. Probably from around 1980 and never refurbished. No charm, very simple, terrible bathroom. No TV in the room and neither in the sittingrooms. Dinner expensive... More

At this time of year it was about the only place open on a long isolated area north of Lom. The hotel has lots of old world charm with the rooms being upgraded to a fresh, minimalistic Scandinavian style. The two owner could not have been more helpful and took us to the start of our ski tour and collected... More

We stopped on our way to Geiranger and we the only thing we enjoyed was the good weather! This guesthouse charges hotel price and it's not worth it all. The room was dark and with carpets full of dust. When even touching the couch the air got filled with dust! When reading other guests comments we expected the staff to... More

We visited Pollfoss last summer and it was one of the best budget places we visited during our 14 days in Norway. It is a really nice old building with a generous parking place. It is right by the way to Skjak but keep in mind that you have to drive about 30 mins to get to a nearest town.... More

This was a perfectly fine low-budget hotel, with adequate food, a friendly welcome, a clean room (but uncomfortable bed), and some old-wordl charm. However, it is NOT in Skjak! It is up the road AWAY from Lom, towards the wild interior, in a town that could be Bismo, or Nordberg, but definitely ISN"T Skjak. As it is 40 km from... More
