The experience proffered is that of a private house party with plenty of privacy when you require it. It is homey and warm and luxurious in the best sense. The suites are quite separate from one another with exquisite views of the ocean and the sound of crashing waves to put one to sleep. Despite the waves swimming felt very... More

Dear Michael: You’re absolutely right – location is everything! More like a billionaire's hobby than a profit driven operation. 1500 acres, 4 beaches, 2 lakes, a river, private airstrip, 86 employees servicing 17 rooms, impeccably maintained, most food served comes from the hotel's gardens and orchards and is excellently prepared, tranquil. Beautiful surf. Pleasant and helpful staff.

Many of our guests consider Las Alamandas their own “private paradise” for the very reasons you mention. Landing on our private airstrip and being whisked away to an exclusive villa are services you’d expect on a private estate – and that’s exactly how we manage Las Alamandas. As you noted, our staff is one of our best assets, dedicated to... More

Breathtaking beauty, quiet elegance and romance beyond words. Endless hot sand, empty but for a parasol and a picnic blanket, waves, blue sky. Smiling staff, unobtrusive care, grace and charm. All there, all kept deliciously secret. How to keep it secret while letting the world know of it? Tricky, but it takes a determined effort to get there. Makes it... More

Your desire to keep Las Alamandas a well-kept secret is a sentiment shared by many of our loyal guests! But here’s the good news: our intimate size ensures that you will never have to share our beautiful resort with too many others. With 1,800 acres to explore, those quiet beaches that you love will always be a private paradise exclusively... More

The glowing comments about Las Alamandas are all true! This property is truly unique, and spending time here is like vacationing at a wealthy friend’s private hideaway - which basically is an accurate description of the property, if you research its history. Getting there: We flew into Manzanillo and out of Puerto Vallarta. We arranged for car service (~US$500) through... More

We sincerely thank you for your glowing review!! Every member of our staff strives for “perfection” – and it’s extremely rewarding to hear that we actually achieved that lofty goal, in the opinion of a Very Important Guest! We hope you’ll plan another visit soon to experience something quite special: Guest Chef John Paul Carmona, formerly with esteemed Manresa restaurant... More

I have been visiting Las Alamandas since 1993 when it was only 2 years old and I keep going back... Why? Because it does something for you that few places can ever really succeed in doing - it refreshes the soul! You have to hand it to the Owner, Isabel Goldsmith who started the place from scratch, (there was nothing... More

Beautiful setting on the Pacific coast with fabulous views over a long sweep of sandy beach, shared with crabs, sandpipers and pelicans swooping over the waves. Horse riding around the estate, spotting rare iguanas and tejones, running along the beach, boogie-boarding in the surf, a brief sighting of humpback whales in the far distance and spectacular sunsets made this holiday... The amazing array of spectacular wildlife is one of our top attractions! We share our 1,500-acre eco preserve with many animals, both on land, at sea and in the skies. Whether domesticated – like our horses – or wild, they appreciate the wide open spaces and beautiful weather as much as our guests do! Thanks, too, for your kind remarks... More

It offers to its guest's luxury, comfort and the highest standards of personalized hospitality in an exquisite setting.Las Alamandas was featured on the cover of Architectural Digest and was chosen by The Robb Report 100 as one of "Earth's Most Exclusive Retreats". Guests can enjoy gourmet Contemporary Mexican Cuisine featuring a fusion of finest Mexican recipes prepared with fresh and organic ingredients, fresh seafood and produce grown on-property. Meals are served at the "Oasis" restaurant, at the main Beach Club "La Palapa "overlooking the Pacific Ocean, in the privacy of your suite or as a gourmet-picnic on one of the four private beaches. Guests can indulge with spa treatments and massages to the sound of the Pacific. They can enjoy horseback riding at sunset, kayaking on the lagoons, take bicycle tours or hike to Look-out Point or simply sunbathe by the pool or take a siesta gently swaying in one of the many hammocks.
