There is little doubt that the weather on the 1st July 2015 was a corker. High temperatures led to our party eating outside in the delightful garden area. The surroundings were perfect for what we needed and we managed to find enough shade to enjoy our food. The menu offers something different, but 'the difference' is couched within good traditional... Great room, easy parking in pub car park ,very comfortable beds, lovely shower room, plentiful hot water, perfect access for our regular dance venue in the village couldn't ask for more, except perhaps a 'loyalty discount?!!'

A really old (16th Century) pub with a warm welcome and a cosy bar and dining room. The food in the evening was excellent. I had the "Slow roasted lamb shoulder" which was succulent and tasty. The only (minor) downside was the small size of the accommodation which is at the rear of the pub. Breakfast was a little expensive... More

Fantastic location, beautiful building with lots of character, sleepy village away from usual bustle of modern life. Friendly landlord and staff and fabulous food. Rooms are simply furnished but more than adequate for the short term visitor with nice touches. Represents great value and almost too good to share! Congratulations to Julian & Ann on a great pub.

My partner and I live quite near this establishment and had been wanting to visit for a while. We are both pretty busy plus my American partner is used to a faster paced service so perhaps these facts may allow you to discount this review if you are of a more patient ilk... We visited with the hope of having... More

OVERPRICED for what you get - breakfast extortionate extra. Most B&B include breakfast at price paid for room only here! 3 small thinly partitioned "cells" in converted stable in courtyard. Room is VERY! small. Bed is hard against one wall with a narrow space & single cupboard on the other. A shelf with kettle/beverages almost overhangs end of bed Bathroom... More

We are sorry that John F of Farnham was not happy with his stay at the Plume. He stayed for six nights in the beginning of January and the only time we saw him was at check in and check out. If he had any reason to complain, he could have seen us during his stay rather than making a... More

We only wanted to stay for One night. The room was very small. However it had everything you needed. We arrived about 5.15pm and as pub not open we had to call to be let in. No lighting in car park or leading down to court yard. Very dark!!! Ground uneven so you need to be careful if arriving before... More

The first good point about this village pub is that Julia Badger has been there for a number of years so he knows that standards need to be maintained as there is plenty of competition within the area around Crondall. We had a choice of 6 pubs from which to choose our Christmas party and selected 'The Plume of Feathers'... More

We found this pub through pub sites and trip advisor. We were looking for an “olde worlde” country pub, with accommodation, centrally located for a one night reunion with friends in the area in August. The pub itself was ok but not exactly what we were looking for. Certainly genuine, not modern plastic, and in a very quiet, away from... More

We stayed on Sunday as a stop over during our ride. Stunning approach as the sun was setting. Brilliant village feel and good food. The staff were very accommodating and they stored our bikes which was a plus. Would stay again.
