The hotel is situated about 1/4 mile from the road but isn't well signposted so difficult to find especially in the dark - turn into the unmade road next to the garden centre sign and drive past the church. Also car parking is behind the main building but not clearly signed. Bedrooms are large and well furnished and it was... More

From the time we pullled up till the time we left, the staff couldn't have been more attentive. We stayed in one of the cottages which was spotless and everything you might need, loads of drawer space, my only niggle, was a shower curtain, not a screen, We went to see Georgie Fame, and stayed overnight. The surroundings and food... More

This is a really nice hotel (it has a but). The bar area and lounge where very welcoming with a roaring fire. Just the thing on a rainy October evening. Parts of the hotel are 1000 years old and the oak panels give it a charming feel. I only ate there one night but the food was excellent so no... More

Having been to several events at this venue we were keen to visit with a view to arranging a wedding there. At our initial meeting the owner/manager was rude and offensive; obviously we will not be taking this any further!

This is my fourth visit to the fantastic Sturmer Hall, two weddings, one of which was our daughter's, and two entertainment evenings, all of which have been fabulous. Wonderful setting and venue, the food was delicious and plentiful and all the staff very professional and attentive. This last visit was to The Johnny Cash Tribute act. Can't wait until we... More

I had my daughters wedding at Strumer Hall on Saturday 27th September 2014 and they were fantastic!, They were very professional through the whole process and on the day it just happened, nothing was to much trouble and I must take my hat off to Tina and her crew for a first class job. If you a looking for a... More

When we arrived it was not clear where you had to park for the hotel only for the events. We wondered around until we... More

Beautiful wedding venue, rooms and house amazing, idilic private location, ideal that the sturmer church is on site - shame the owner is a miserable man who does not like you complaining and feels like he has stick his nose in to everything rather than leaving it to the fantastic wedding planners Mandy and Tina who are real professionals and... My stay at Sturmer Hall was a pleasant stay. All the staff were/are really kind and attend. I met some nice people around here and had a great laugh with the owner and co. The breakfast and dinner was tasteful and served with a lot of politeness. I strongly advise you to prove the Chocolate Chaos dessert! I recommend anyone... More

We've had a really really lovely time at as Sturmer Hall. The staff were amazing, the venue beautiful, rooms nice. Unfortunately the owner ruined the whole event stomping around being miserable and totally disrespectful to his guests. A shame as the venue is wonderful, just ruined by poor management.
