Our family had the opportunity to stay at Manzac d'en Bas in August 2014, and we had a really wonderful experience. We had not previously had any experience of staying in France outside of Paris, and the setting and activities were absolutely wonderful. Giles & Louise have created a very special setting where you can either completely relax & unwind,... More

We stayed at Manzac in July 2014 and can honestly say it is the best family holiday we have had to date. Giles and Louise were the perfect hosts and the accommodation and pool were superb. The location was idyllic and the views of the mountains were breathtaking, it really felt like we were escaping the rat race entirely for... More

I attended a course on Botanical Art in Coloured Pencils with Ann Swan at the end of September 2014 and should like to echo all the superlatives used by previous contributors to this page in respect of the setting, views, comfort, food and weather at Manzac d'en Bas. The studio in which we worked is glorious with huge windows and... More

We stayed with a large family party for the last two weeks of the English summer holidays. Our party consisted of ages from 4 to 70 and I can honestly say that there was something for everyone. We had the most fabulous time at Manzac d'en Bas. The children loved the pool, begged for a fire in the fire pit... More

Amazing views towards the Pyrenees and a beautiful landscape to relax in. Accommodation is very spacious and comfortable. Louise and Giles are helpful, friendly and really made our stay enjoyable. We were on a painting holiday so full board was included. Louise's cooking was a very high standard, really tasty. Lunches, which were brought out to our daily locations were... More

This was a wonderful find in a delightful part of France. Brilliant venue for art courses. Spacious studio with good natural light and wonderful panoramic views. Set in a charming, unpretentious area of France with lots of interesting and distinctive villages nearby. Accommodation was very comfortable with plenty of space for sleeping and relaxation in each gite. Delicious food for... More

Just returned from a weeks painting holiday at Manzac, in the beautiful unspoilt SW France, as last year everything was perfect, due to Giles & Louise’s attention to detail and effort so that I could just relax from the moment I was met at Toulouse airport. My room in their spacious Gîte again overlooked the valley with breathtaking views. Thank... More
