The electricity went out at around 7pm on the day we arrived. We sat in the dark in our room (luckily we brought a charged laptop) for 2 hours before we were asked to move to their sister hotel. They do not have a 24 hour Reception so I can only assume the two young girls who dealt with us... More

It was a very quiet Sunday evening, there were very few people in the Hotel , but this did not spoil what was an excellent stay, infact it has to be better than being surrounded by many many other tourists from all over the world, which the undoubtedly get at most other times of the year. The Hotel is superbly... More

What a gem this place is! Right on the shore of Loch Ness so book a Loch View room and wake up to the most spectacular view. I recently stayed here after looking around at all the other hotels in the local area, this was by far the best in my opinion. The Manager Garry Clark is fantastic, welcoming and... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. Super affordable, incredibly friendly and the rooms were very clean. This is the best place to stay when visiting Loch Ness or visiting Glen Affric. Garry was hospitable, a true character and so much fun to interact with. He made our stay fun.

I've been in many hotels with work but this was one of the better ones. The only down side was that it is approx 10 miles away from Inverness. But I enjoy my peace so I was very pleased with my stay. I would stay here again.

The clansman hotel is situated around 9-10 miles from Inverness. In my opinion, this is the perfect distance away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel is sat right on the loch, with the Jacobite cruises just a 2 minute walk across the road. The perfect location for any visitor wanting the full 'ness' experience. The breakfast was hearty all... More

We decided to go for one night getaway on Loch Ness. Clansman hotel was the perfect location. When we arrived at the reception (without booking) we were greeted by very lovely lady and we got the last loch view room wit balcony. Views are absolutely stunning. We got offered to book a table for dinner as we were checking in.... More

Got rooms here at short notice after being horrified by our original accomodation. Had ordered the rooms from a near by carpark on our smart phone in the pouring rain. We found the staff to be extremly welcolming and accomodating. She was busy finding us a room as our order came through from late rooms.com. She apologised that the room... More

Well I am pleased to hear that we were hear to save your holiday, and that you really enjoyed your experience here at the Clansman. Like you commented if there are no rooms left with a view, it is not really a problem as the panoramic view can be enjoyed from all public areas. Head chef Colin's theory is to... More

Upon arrival everything was fine, beautiful setting and warm greeting. Our room, Number 10. We had booked a family room as travelling with a 5 year old child, by family room they mean a extra bed squeezed in. The room was clean and well maintained. The bathroom. I cant recall when I have seen such a small bathroom, no bath... More

Thank you for your comments. I am glad that from the begining you found everything satisfactory but I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. I do agree with you that our family rooms are not the biggest rooms but I can assure you they are adequate, and we do have bigger rooms available if requested. We... More

To be clear, this hotel is over ten miles to the nearest pubs/bars/restaurants etc in Inverness, but if your intention is to get wawy from it all then this is the spot for you. Half then rooms overlook the och - as we were only there one night we opted to spend less on a woodland view - but as... More

100% correct, we are 10 miles away from the hustle and bustle of inverness which allows us to have some of the only views from a hotel over loch ness. We are also close enough to Inverness if you want to get a taxi into town for a bit of the local night life, or as you have commented far... More
