It's the 3rd time I've stayed here, and I would definitely recommand it ! Warm atmosphere, super friendly staff and manager. Really clean and cosy. Because it's low season, it was really quiet, just what I was looking for. Great location: lots of walks to do around, just 30 minutes from Inverness. Small village, but everything you need: shops, pubs,... More

I stayed at the Loch Ness Backpackers hostel while I was walking the Great Glen Way (the hostel is right before the last stage, in Drumnadrochit). The hostel is very cheap and clean (£17 per person per night) and has free WiFi and laundry service (you just pay £3.50 and they'll wash and dry everything for you). There is a... More

The location was really easy to find, prices are really cheap, the girs working there (Andrea and Charlyn) were super nice and helpful. Showers are great, bed comfortable, a bit annoying that the showers and bathroom are so far from the upper rooms but that's about it :)

We were walking the Great Glen Way and we had booked in here for one nights stay. Wendy very kindly upgraded us to a larger room with enough beds so no one had to climb into a bunk free of charge (three middle aged girls). Showers were terrific and clean. Wendy helped charge our phones after our charger broke, provided... More

Last week we left Skye and took a bus towards Inverness, but we wanted to spend a few nights in Drumnadrochit. The night before our departure, I made a reservation on Hostel World to stay at the LN Backpackers but unfortunately it didn't go through. When we got there Wendy, the owner, had no reservation and I was very confused... More

Wendy and her staff were very accommodating for myself and my weary friend Cammy. They made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and it was a fitting end to our Great Glen Way trek. The facilities were excellent. Bed was the comfiest we slept on all throughout the Great Glen Way and the shower was a real... More

We had to wait 3 hours to be checked in, a member of staff had told Neil that we were waiting but told him that he was tiling the bathroom and was not on reception that day so wouldnt check us in. We phoned both the numbers on the reception desk for checking in but no-one answered them. Eventually after... More

For people wanting an overnight stay without any frills this does the job. We stayed here on our 5th night walking the Great Glen Way. We were in a bunk room in the "outside block" which provided basic accommodation and breakfast if needed. The outside toilet and shower facilities could do with a bit of modernisation but they provided ample... More

My Grandson and I stayed here for 5 nights very recently, my grandson was attending the College Of Piping Highland School which was based at the hostel, and we were staying on a full board basis. I doubt i have ever in my life met more helpful, gracious and helpful hosts than Neil and Wendy who went well beyond the... More

I stayed at the hostel in April '14 during the easter weekend. The location of the hostel was good and also the Kitchen was pretty tidy and neat. Other than that , it was very average.. The Hostel beds were OK , but the toilets were pretty dirty and so were the showers. There were only 2 Showers and 2... More
