Delightful B&B - very welcome, and welcoming after a long forest trail on day 2 of the Great Glen. Excellent breakfast and packed lunch. Drove us to restaurant for the evening meal (that they had booked for us!) Comfy tv lounge Good value for money

We stayed at this accommodation while walking the Great Glen Way. Unfortunately, this accommodation wasn't of the same standard as other B&Bs we used during the trip. We understand that Robert and Phoebe have recently sold the property to retire, and sadly it shows in some respects. Basic maintenance has been let go and the quality of the accommodation isn't... New owners have only been in place for 4 weeks. Forest Lodge is very clean but is in need of some modernisation. We were made very welcome and breakfast and packed lunches were very good. The B&B will run you to a local restaurant who in turn will run you back to B&B. Would stay again and would be interested... More

I stayed here because I was walking the Great Glen Way but I'm not sure I'd stay otherwise. Partly because there really isn't anything to see or do around South Laggan. Plus the B&B itself is quite old fashioned - no internet, no TV in the room, ancient electric shower took ages to produce hot water, the room was clean... More

Had a great stay here recently. Although the property is on a main road we found it easier to walk along the canal and double back on yourself then walk down the road to the B&B on a grassed path. The hosts were very friendly and had no problems drying our clothes for us , they offered excellent service which was... Not in a forest and not a lodge....tired old bungalow at the side of a main road. If you are walking the Great Glen you will find this by walking about 3/4mile along a busy main road dodging logging lorries :-( Our room can only be described as dirty and unloved. The covers were grubby and the bathroom filthy. I... More

First, let me say that the hosts Phoebe and Robert were very hospitable. Were were hiking the GGW and it was raining horizontally when we arrived. Phoebe took our wet things and pointed us in the direction of some hot tea. This was a much needed comfort after a day of hiking in the rain. Robert greeted us for breakfast... More

Other than the walk from the canal to the venue along the busy A82 verge this was a welcome first night stop on the Great Glen Way. First time I have stayed at a B&B in years so took a bit of getting used to the compactness and informality. Phoebe and Robert were good hosts and were happy to run... More

Situated off a very busy road which is quite dangerous for walkers. There was a mix up too with our booking which meant I had to share a room with my adult son and wife even though I had paid a single supplement. There was an apology and a refund. Place is a little old and I am we only... More

Enjoyed our stay here when walking the Great Glen Way. Some earlier reviews contain errors; Phoebe does pack lunches for hikers and they are BIG. While the rooms are a bit dated and the bathroom was tiny, everything was spotless and we got a warm welcome and a ride to dinner. The only drawback is the walk to the lodge.... More
