We recently spent 3 nights at Las Nubes and it was a remarkable place to stay. Philip and Augustin were incredible host. Philip is the owner and was with us the whole time, he is a self made person and an incredible host. He can cook up anything you want. And everything is fresh and organic and most of the... More

We stayed in this hotel last January, the nights before New Years. Pros: - The design is lovely, the shower works great, the beds are comfortable - Breakfast was amazing. Dinner was also outstanding, and fairly priced - We saw a lot of animals in our stay. Bright colored frogs, a slug in the middle of the road, a family... More

Before deciding if you wish to spend time at Las Nubes, you have to ask yourself the question; 'what type of person am I?' If you are of the ilk that needs your creature comforts, such as air conditioning or wi-fi, or if you are afraid of insects and nature...then this isn't the place for you. You should look at... More

We were a group of 12 and had a most wonderful stay at Las Nubes earlier this month (July 2013). Las Nubes Resort is everything but the ordinary. The breathtaking views, the stunning lodges and architecture, the gorgeous setting, Filip's charming and warm hospitality, his dedicated and helpful staff and his excellent cooking skills make Las Nubes a place to... We had a wonderful experience that began right from the start when we drove up the mountainous terrain to get to Las Nubes - it was such an exciting adventure to reach the top and once we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms from Filip, the friendly owner, who made us feel right at home and always made sure... Two weeks ago, we had a holiday in costa rica. After we had rent a car in San Jose, we went up to our first hotel, Las Nubes in Matapalo. Las Nubes is an full selfsupporting energy resort. The owner Filip, from Belgium, has built this resort two years ago. The "cabanas" are very private and very luxiourious. Especially the... More

Once arrived at Las Nubes, you think you are dreaming... you immediately feel part of all that beautiful nature around you, you look around, you are in perfect harmony. It is a very special place that gives you a feeling of peacefulness, of self-confidence, of beauty... words can not really describe this. That is the reason why it is worth... More

A unique place with a unique kind of energy. Staying there means travelling between clouds, sun and an impressive nature to end up into your own heart. Completely filled with joy I recommend this from the bottom of my heart!
